Polo has clearly built and handpicked everything in this finca with so much love and dedication. Located deep in the jungle, it offers a peaceful atmosphere surrounded by nature, with only sounds of the wildlife and a river nearby for a refreshing dip (and weirdly, the WiFi was still one of the fastest I’ve used in Colombia). The food is simply outstanding - the best I’ve had in months of traveling South America. Alvaro, the chef, mostly uses ingredients from the finca’s own farm, creating delicious, well-balanced, and creative dishes. The chocolate tour is a must—easily the best chocolate I’ve had in South America. Everything here feels real, organic, and unforgettable!

This was one of the most amazing vacation experiences of my entire life. The property is incredibly beautiful. It is very secluded so you can just experience nature at it's best. The house is fantastic. It has hot water for the shower!!! That is a clincher for me. The host was more than helpful and gave me so much information I couldn't remember it all. The waterfall near the property is enchanting. I can imagine living here and writing the great american novel. This is one of those places where those things happen. LOL

Loved everything about Lodge Cacao. From our two greeters Maxi and Lucas, to Alejo and his staff and also to princess Agatha—- they all made our stay worthwhile. Alejo communicates really well and makes sure you’re comfortable every time. He also made sure we had other alternatives of places to visit since Tayrona was closed when we were there. He also safely drove us to the airport. You could tell that he really cares about the place, his staff and the guests. The rooms are quite nice with different characters. We were treated in an oasis because although it was close to the highway once you get in the property you will be surrounded by the nature. We truly had an amazing time and would definitely stay again.

A beautiful and well maintained property in the middle of the jungle!! Paulo and Brunella are super helpful and kind, making the whole stay and logistics to get in/out and around super easy. The cabanas were perfectly comfortable & functional. The balconies are huge with little chairs and tables so you can sit and unwind. Or do yoga and sprawl out. :) Oh ya and I ate there every night happily, Brunella was quite the chef!!

Wow! What an unforgettable destination! Absolutely gorgeous, with wildlife filled views all around: beach, river, and mountains. Our Cabaña Suite was awesome. The staff was great. Nothing bad to say. Would recommend this place to all.

The view from the dining terrace is gorgeous. The pool is beautiful and warm. The food is delicious and the Staff are helpful, friendly and kind. The lodge is a series of thatched huts on terraced steps and the property is peaceful and relaxed and surrounded by greenery all around. The massage I had was incredible..and up on the top terrace of the property overlooking everything. The location is known on the Santa Marta -Palomino bus route. .just say " Quetzal Dorado" and they will drop you off there. I loved my stay here and would love to come back.

Our stay at Casa Li was the highlight of our trip to Colombia! The property is located just a short walk from the breathtaking Tyrona National Park, making it the perfect base for exploring the park’s stunning beaches, trails, and wildlife. The accommodation itself was cozy, clean, and beautifully decorated, with a peaceful vibe that made it feel like a true escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life. Ji was incredibly welcoming and provided us with useful recommendations for local attractions and delicious meals at Yuca restaurant. We even got to enjoy a delicious homemade crepe and fresh tropical fruits prepared by staff Luz, which was a lovely touch. The balcony space was perfect for relaxing after a long day of hiking and swimming. Most memorable were evenings spent sitting on the terrace, enjoying the fresh air and listening to the sounds of birds. If you're looking for a relaxing retreat close to Tyrona Park, this is the place to stay. I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area!
