The kitchen was well stocked. We saw elk right outside almost every day. It was a great location to explore the Redwoods since we could go either north or south to other areas. The laundry was economical if staying more than one night.

Best location! A group of elks was passing by our cabin every day because the cabin is in elk meadow. The cabin with three bedrooms was spacious, beautiful, and clean. Beautiful trails with giant redwoods or fern canyon/gold bluffs beach were so close to the cabin. Best cabin I ever stayed!

We had stayed there before, about a decade ago when my son must have been about ten, so I had a pretty good idea what to expect; however, Bogart--the host--was exceptionally helpful! We asked for a tea kettle and he immediately provided a brand new one. He also suggested renting rubber boots for the hike in the Fern Canyon; thank god, we listened to him! There is no better location for hiking on the Redwood coast, especially given the unpredictable weather at this time of the year. Wildlife, especially the elk outside of our windows, was definitely a bonus too. Ultra quiet and clean too.

The property was absolutely beautiful. It was very private, so not close to many businesses or other people. There’s a cute patio to BBQ and a fire pit for bonfires. It’s a very central location to explore the redwoods. Loved my stay here and will return in the future.

All cabins in Orick

Looking for a cabin?

For active travelers, a chalet is a great mix of the outdoors and the snug inside. Usually fully furnished and with kitchen facilities, chalets are typically wooden and in the Alpine region of Europe, but can also be found other places in the world. Characterized by their sloped roofs, chalets can be single units or separate apartments, and are ideal for skiing vacations.
