Set among Nikko’s peaceful forests and mountains, Nikko Park Lodge Mountain Side offers homely accommodation with free Wi-Fi just steps from hiking trails. The house is very nice in the forest and close to Nikko city. I stayed 2 nights and i don t regret. The dormitory is big and i slept well. What i like it is the " cosy" atmosphere of the house. It is unique. It is not a simple hotel. Don t waste your energy if you are tired and with suitcase. There are many taxis just front of tobu station train and it is very cheap only 800 yen. For the check out there is a transfer free at 9.30. For the dinner , eat in the house it is very good , fresh food and not expensive. I recommend a very cosy " coffee " place up on the road less than 5 minutes by walking. It is a good place to have a drink. You can reach the famous bridge and monasteries by walking. Thank you the owners they are very helpful, polite, they do the best for the guests. I read reviews about beetles. Keep in mind you are in nikko forest, surrended by trees, wood...its is not a hostel in tokyo.
