This was one of the best places we've been to on our trip to Sri Lanka. It's in the middel of nature, there is a beautiful waterfall where you can dip into the water and even get fish therapy about a 5min walk from the Hotel. The glass bungalow was incredible, the room was clean, very comfortable and there is a mini fridge with snacks and beverages. Apart from the room, the host and his wife are lovely people, so friendly, warm and welcoming. We had a tasty welcome drink, then they showed us the way to the waterfall, before dinner, the host took us on a little walk to see the surrounding area and after dinner he took us on a little night walk around the house to see the little animals living there. He gave us much information about plants and animals and also organized a guided trip to the rainforest the following day. His wife prepares breakfast and dinner herself and it was by far the best we've eaten on our trip. The accomodation is not easy to find and to access if you are not travelling by car, but you can inform the host and they organize a pickup at a reasonable price. This wasn't a negative point for us as we enjoy the sounds of nature, but if you're a light sleeper it's fair to mention that the sound of the waterfall is quite loud and you can also hear the frogs and circadas quite a lot. That's definitely a pro when you, like us, like to be surrounded by the sounds of nature but may be a con if you want to be in a more quiet place. We really recommend to visit this beautiful place when you are travelling in the Sinharaja area! Thank you so much for everything!! :)

The Whitegates Lodge er staðsett í Midigama, 6 km frá Ahangama, og býður upp á ókeypis WiFi og garð. Galle er í 26 km fjarlægð. Ókeypis einkabílastæði eru í boði á staðnum. Amazing value for money, everything is new from your room to furniture to kitchen utensils, owner is very respectful and easy to communicate, attentive and trying to get what you need. Located in a strategic area right between busy Ahangama and Midigama, right in front of the beach. I initially booked 2 nights and booked extra three nights, I’m definitely coming back! Thank you so much!

Natural Mystic Sanctuary er staðsett í Deniyaya og býður upp á gistirými með ókeypis WiFi og garð með verönd og fjallaútsýni. Allar gistieiningarnar eru með verönd með útsýni yfir vatnið. This place is truly a sanctuary of peace and pure nature. We arrived in the early afternoon, walking up a stone path, which was not a problem having light bags. The staff welcomed us warmly, and we immediately felt like being in paradise - the great valley views, forest, and small river. The room was super nice with wooden furniture, a comfy bed, a large outdoor lounge and a hammock. Later, we had a refreshing swim in the natural pool surrounded by forest. Dinner was great as well, really fresh and well combined local cuisine. In the night, we watched fireflies and bats buzzing around with sounds of frogs and crickets. It was nicely cool, and we even had the windows open to enjoy the sounds and have a breeze. Surprisingly, there were not many mosquitos due to the higher altitude. We highly recommend staying a few days more, which we will do when coming next time.

Sira's Chalets er gististaður við ströndina og býður upp á loftkælda fjallaskála með verönd með sjávarútsýni og ókeypis WiFi. For the prize it was perfect. The staff and manager were extremely helpful. And the location is amazing

With garden views, Hiriketiya Suka Place is set in Hiriketiya and has a restaurant, room service, bar, garden and terrace. The lodge features both WiFi and private parking free of charge. If you’re staying in Hiri this is a great option, the grounds are so well maintained. Our villa was really clean, equipped with all the amenities we needed (like gas stove for cooking and teas.) Over our stay we saw monkeys, peacocks, squirrels and even a tortoise, which we really enjoyed. Restaurants and Hiri beach are right down the hill.

Pixie Haven Lodge Hiriketiya er staðsett í Dickwella í Matara-hverfinu og býður upp á svalir og garðútsýni. Nice big apartment. Lots of space and modern facilities.

The Hidden Treehouse er gististaður í Massalapitiya, 2 km frá Midigama-ströndinni og 25 km frá Galle International Cricket Stadium. Þaðan er útsýni yfir garðinn. Lovely and creative accommodation well hidden in the trees. Unique experience! Also the hosts were super friendly and took good care of me and my puppy.

Ripple by the river er með útsýni yfir ána, ókeypis WiFi og ókeypis einkabílastæði. Það er staðsett í Weligama, 2,1 km frá Weligama-ströndinni. I liked the location, the view, the room (ac was working perfectly, hot water, comfortable bed). The homemade food they were making was tasty and also reasonable priced. Also by the river seeing crocodiles, peacocks, monkeys and comodo dragon was fascinating.

Lemon safa villa er með garðútsýni og er gistirými í Mirissa, 1,1 km frá Thalaramba-ströndinni og 34 km frá Hummanaya-sjávarhúsinu. The property was spotless, a beautiful chalet located next to a lake. My taxi driver (not related to lemon juice) had a problem finding the chalet however Dilum was very attentive and came out and found me and my taxi driver and took me to the Villa. He was extremely helpful. He helped me rent a scooter and attended to any requests promptly. I have to thank Dilum personally due to the fact I lost my phone in Marissa and Dilum went out of his way to track down and find my phone. I had an incredible experience there and even stayed an extra night. I saw a peacock on the chalet roof. One morning I was sitting on outside and a monkey walked straight past me. The value for money is incredible and I will defiantly be staying there again.
