Excellent staff, Incredible location.....and, of course...the lemurs...!! Antoine is a brilliant host, he couldn't have been more helpful. Makako Lodge is highly recommended.

Lodge Villa MAYANKI está situado a sólo 7 minutos a pie de Djamanjary Beach}, cuenta con hospedaje en Dzamandzar con acceso a una alberca al aire libre y un salón compartido, así como una cocina... Lovely place, lovely staff, has everything you need. A little far from everything but a great getaway. we had scooters to move around so it was perfect. Owner was very helpful too. Would recommend.

Very welcoming staff and a lovely location. A special mention to Ornella who really looked after us. The lemurs come at sundown for bananas which is really special and was the highlight of our stay. The rooms are basic but clean and comfortable. The chef provides options based on what he has & cooks tasty dishes including fresh fish & prawns. The owner ( Jean Michel) was very helpful and arranged 3 days of Scuba diving for us as well as a trip to Lokobe to see the wildlife. I would recommend for a few days of peace & tranquility.

What truly makes Sangany Lodge exceptional, however, is Yvonne, the owner. Her generosity, presence, and deep knowledge of the area give the lodge its soul. She can also seamlessly organize any type of excursion or adventure you might want — whether it’s a boat trip, quad biking, hiking, snorkeling with turtles, or even arranging a sunset cocktail on a deserted island — all done with authenticity and excellent judgment. These days remain among my most meaningful travel memories — a genuinely restorative, human, and memorable experience. If you’re looking for more than just accommodation, but for a true connection to the destination, Sangany Lodge is an outstanding choice. I would return without hesitation.

Simple but a realy nice, clean,calm and peaceful. Helpful and charming staff speaking also english. Beach in front of the lodge. Lemurs in the garden. Hammocks to chil during the day. Nice food in the Restaurant.

We were the only ones as it was low season and they were super accommodating. It was very peaceful, just what we needed. The staff was amazing, the bed was comfortable, and the views!!!! Simply wow. The only thing missing was a beach but everything else more than made up for it! They even managed to make a last minute cake for my birthday 🥹
