We left the mosquito net open to enjoy the breeze, which was just perfect. It’s hard to believe a place like this exists just a few meters after entering the town. The food was outstanding. We enjoyed the daily special, and every meal was freshly prepared with local ingredients. The lobster with lemon sauce was honestly one of the best meals we've ever had! The pool is large, sparkling clean, and a great spot to relax – a true oasis on the north side of the lagoon, far from the crowds. We spent time in Bacalar, just a 20-minute drive away, but we loved relaxing in the pool and on the hammocks just as much. The owners and staff were incredibly welcoming, and breakfast was a delight each day, prepared with whatever fresh ingredients were available. This stay exceeded all expectations, and we’d recommend Casa Cactus to anyone seeking a peaceful retreat in nature." We also explored a hidden beach club recommended by Casa Cactus it was beyond imagination. The route to the beach club is bumpy for 1 km, but it's worth a drive , we saw some monkeys when we were walking downhills to the dock. It feels like all the lagoons are just for yourself. We went to Bacalar too, but we preferred this quite part of the lagoon, so authentic tourism. Our best stay in Mexico. Don't think too much when you book it place . You will have amazing stays and conversations, and it's so personal .

Pucte is an amazing chill and beautiful place. There are only three cabins looking at the lagoon. It is very calm and quiet, we spent ours swimming with our kids and just looking at the birds. The cabin is spacious and nice, beds are comfy. We loved the design. There is a coffee machine and a refrigerator which was super helpful since there is no restaurant. But you can get good food in the guest house next door. Bear in mind it is about a 10 min drive to the town which we did about twice a day, for food, groceries or attractions. The staff was super nice. We would definitely come again!

Casa Cangrejo Fishing Lodge í Jose Maria Morelos býður upp á sjávarútsýni, gistirými, garð, sameiginlega setustofu, verönd, veitingastað og vatnaíþróttaaðstöðu. The property was well situated for fly fishing. It had lovely views. Was large, and immaculately clean. It had great AC which is unusual in Xcalak! Breakfast was great, different every day, and served early enough to leave for fishing at 7.30 The beach was small but kept very clean and had nice chairs and sun shelter. The terrace caught the breeze in an evening and was lovely to sit there watching the pelicans.

Cachito de Cielo Luxury Jungle Lodge í Tulum er gististaður sem er aðeins fyrir fullorðna. Boðið er upp á útisundlaug og garð. This was a beautiful room in a very lovely lush jungle area. The room was very large and comfortable. The bed and pillows were so soft and the rain shower head with hot water was the best shower I have had in Mexico. There was a fully stocked kitchen to cook. The staff was very friendly and accommodating.

Villas Tucan Bacalar Lagoon Front er staðsett í Bacalar á Quintana Roo-svæðinu og er með verönd. Gististaðurinn er staðsettur við ströndina og býður upp á einkastrandsvæði, ókeypis reiðhjól og garð. The location is by the water, in front of one of the cenotes in the lagoon. Easy communication, the staff was friendly and helpful.

Yaxchen Tulum Cabañas & Cenote er 3 stjörnu gististaður í Tulum. Boðið er upp á garð og verönd. Smáhýsið er með bæði WiFi og einkabílastæði án endurgjalds. It was quiet. The air was so fresh. I slept great. There is a very nice beach across the street. It was a nice size room. The staff is great. A nice, free breakfast is made for you as you arrive in the morning.

ANAND Ecoaldea er staðsett í Puerto Morelos á Quintana Roo-svæðinu og Beto Avila-leikvangurinn er í innan við 48 km fjarlægð. It was beautiful, the staff was amazing, and the free breakfasts were great :)

Manati-ströndin er í 200 metra fjarlægð frá Hotel Cielo. y Selva býður upp á gistirými, veitingastað, garð, verönd og bar. Smáhýsið er með bæði WiFi og einkabílastæði án endurgjalds. Very friendly staff, beautiful location and place. The bumpy road to get there is very bumpy however thanks to this, it is a peaceful and quiet place in comparison with the very touristy Tulum.

Boasting a garden and views of pool, The Diving Lodge Downtown is a recently renovated holiday home situated in Puerto Morelos, a few steps from Playa Puerto Morelos. The perfect Mexican cabins on the beach! The location was perfect for us, we enjoyed the short beautiful ten minute walk to town every evening for dinner. You can walk along the beach or down the street. It’s perfect while on vacation, especially after eating a great dinner. The best bar on the beach with the best and most attentive bartenders and staff. They are warm and create a welcoming enjoyment environment. There’s a restaurant, a pool, and option to get massages on site. The Greek restaurant had their re-opening after their remodel while we were there, and we had the opportunity to sample their food. It was good, nice to have the option. The bar also serves food.
