From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the rustic yet refined charm of the lodge. The facilities are thoughtfully designed, blending modern comforts with an authentic Scandinavian aesthetic. Our accommodations were immaculate, cozy, and equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay, including plush bedding, warm lighting, and stunning views of the surrounding wilderness. The highlight of our visit, without a doubt, was the huskies. These beautiful, well-cared-for dogs are the heart and soul of the lodge, and spending time with them was an unforgettable experience. Whether you’re experienced or a first-timer, the husky sledding tours are a must. Gliding through the snow-covered trails with the dogs leading the way was exhilarating and magical—a memory we will cherish forever. The staff at Jotunheimen Husky Lodge truly go above and beyond. They are knowledgeable, welcoming, and passionate about the region and its traditions. They helped us plan our trip, shared fascinating insights about the area and the local wildlife, and ensured every moment of our stay was perfect.

Strind Gard, Visdalssetra er staðsett í Boverdalen á Oppland-svæðinu og er með verönd og fjallaútsýni. I liked that I lived there as people used to live 200 years ago. You want a bath, bring water, make fire and make it hot. Do you want to pea? Go outside to the small toilet. Great experience.

The staff deserve special mention — incredibly kind, understanding, and welcoming. They made us feel at home and offered great support during our stay. The cabin itself was warm, cozy, and comfortable, equipped with everything you might need: a stove, microwave, and full kitchenware. And the view from the window… simply breathtaking!

Sjodalen Hyttetun og Camping er staðsett í Stuttgongfossen og býður upp á garð og bar. Gististaðurinn státar af sameiginlegu eldhúsi og arni utandyra. This place is fantastic! Host was lovely at reception. We were upgraded to a cabin with private bathroom due to quiet time of year still in May. Cabin was comfortable, bathroom had nice hot water. We had dinner in the hytte, meal and drinks were nice. Quiet location, looks like a fairy tale. It snowed by the morning, it really created a great atmosphere. Breakfast if requested is delivered to your door in a basket, breakfast was generous and a good spread of different options. We felt like it was Christmas with the snow and wooden cabins with grassy roofs :)

Northern gate Besseggen - Bústaður no 17 in Besseggen Fjellpark Maurvangen er staðsett í Maurvangen og býður upp á garð, verönd og veitingastað. A lovely little place to stay with excellent access to some great walks. Significantly better fitted out than we expected.
