Judith, Josue and their beautiful boy Thiago were absolutely amazing!!!! This was the best stay after a huge bus ride. We were so relaxed watching the sunset cuddled up with a blanket. We were provided with the most incredible food - especially the fried trout and soup Judith prepared. Josue took us on a tour around Uros and also took my partner fishing!!! It was just so great. We didn’t want to leave. We also jumped in the lake which was beautiful and clear. A unique and special stay we will remember forever.

What an indescribable stay at the Uros Utasa Lodge on Lake Titicaca. I can only give this lodge top marks because Raul gave us an unforgettable day. After he picked us up at the pier, we travelled through the reed belt on his boat. Even here he gave us an insight into what the reeds are used for. You could see that Raul is passionate about this area and enjoyed passing on his knowledge. After driving past so many huts, the surprise was all the greater! A paradise for a day! We enjoyed the afternoon on the deckchair and Raul and his wife also prepared dinner on request. Simply recommended!!!

Wonderful location of property owned by great people. They arranged everything, including Puno pickup, transfer, meals and trip among floating houses. There is a stunning wildlife surrounding this place.

It’s an extremely beautiful hotel, a very nice place to stay and enjoy lake Titicaca. The owner of this hotel and his family are very nice and helpful. Although it is chilly outside, they keep us comfortable inside. They also assist to arrange transportation for us.

This was a fantastic experience where we were welcomed into Mama Lea and Papa Mario’s home and we got to experience what living on a floating island was like. Communication was great - we were picked up at the bus terminal and taken to the pier to take the boat to their home. We enjoyed Papa Mario’s tour of Uros Island where he showed us what life was like for him - he showed us how important the reeds were to his family and how they used it in everyday life. The dinner was nice and fresh and lots of rugs and hot water bottles provided to keep us warm at night. Make sure you bring enough cash. In addition to the room, there is 80 soles boat transfer cost, 35 soles for dinner, and money for drinks and any tours you may want to do. Staying on Uros Island was a truly wonderful experience. We stayed in a beautifully decorated room on the island where Walter's family lives. Walter was incredibly helpful, arranging our arrival (his father picked us up by motorboat). Throughout our stay, the family took great care of us, cooking us delicious meals, and Walter took us on a boat tour of Uros Island, explaining how the islands are built and how the community lives. He then organized a day trip to Taquile Island before we even thought of it ourselves. Walter sells beautiful handicrafts made by his family on the island. Watching the sunrise from the island's observation deck and the breathtaking night sky is an unforgettable experience.

Juan and his wife were wonderfully hospitable. They did everything to make our stay perfect. One of the best parts of our trip to Peru. The food is fantastic and the trips on the lake were wonderful and Juan told us all about life on the lake for the Uros people. We don’t want to leave. Sunny during the day and cold at night. The comfiest beds with loads of blankets and hot water bottles.
