We stayed in this small hotel in Zanzibar and really loved it. It feels very local, natural and simple, but in the best way — cozy and real. The view to The Rock Restaurant is beautiful and around are many small boutique places and cafés. From here you can take a small boat to see the starfishes or go to Blue Lagoon. We saw dolphins in the sea very close to the shore! You can also walk to nearby cafes and small hotels. Having a car is recommended. The beach here is quiet: no sellers, no dancers and no people offering services. Nothing disturbs your rest. The owner is a warm and kind person that you feel like home. This is the real Zanzibar not like chain hotels. The place has its own vibe and soul. It is definitely not for people who want very luxury hotels with shiny things because everything here is very natural and simple. It is for those who want to feel the real local life. We already know that will want to come back.

The owners of this resort are very hospitable and helpful, while the staff responds promptly when you have questions or requests.

I stayed at Z Lodge Zanzibar with my wife. The room was so beautiful, I loved the flowers on the bed and the artwork on the wall; everything was lovely. The breakfasts were perfectly tropical and the restaurant itself had an amazing romantic vibe. Snack of our day was freshly made Banana chips with avocado dip- delicious. The staff were so friendly and welcoming, making you feel at home. I highly recommend this hotel.

I had such a fantastic experience staying at Paje Emerald Escapes! The villas are absolutely beautiful—peaceful, well-designed, and a true slice of paradise. But what truly made the stay unforgettable was the incredible staff. A huge thank you to Leslie, who went above and beyond to make my stay comfortable. From arranging airport transfers to organizing tuk-tuk shuttles, she was constantly helpful, professional, and incredibly sweet. Her kindness really made me feel at home. I’d also love to give a special shoutout to Salim for helping me out when a few geckos made their way into the villa. He came over right away, was extremely helpful, and so kind throughout. I would absolutely stay here again—not just for the stunning villas, but because the people here genuinely care. Highly recommend to anyone visiting Paje!

MONKEY MOUNTAIN LODGE se găsește în Mtende și oferă vedere la mare, un restaurant, depozit de bagaje, un bar, o grădină și o terasă. I have been to many accommodations in Zanzibar, but this one was truly the most special experience for me. The peace and positive vibes I experienced there brought back 5 years of my life. The house is in a wonderful location, surrounded by dense vegetation, so you will feel a healing peace there during your entire stay. The bungalows are spacious and perfectly clean, the beds are large and comfortable, the view is stunning. The food deserves a Michelin star, the offer is varied, the ingredients are fresh every day, the portions are very generous, certainly above the price. The owner and all the staff are very accommodating, kind and ready to dedicate themselves to each guest to make them feel at home. My special thanks go to the hostess Suzy , whose helpfulness and kindness go beyond the limit and who made our stay even more beautiful. If you are planning to visit Zanzibar, do not make the mistake of not visiting this special piece of paradise. Thank you all, even though we left, a piece of my heart remained there 💓
