Their kindness and attentiveness made us feel right at home. 🐾 The Dogs! – We absolutely fell in love with Layla—what a beautiful soul! We already miss her so much. Peanut, Raisin, and the little Jack Russell (whose name escapes me) were also such wonderful companions. It was a joy having them around. 🏡 The Chalet – Simply amazing! It was beyond what we had imagined—spacious, comfortable, and beautifully designed. 🌿 The Lodge & Surroundings – The entire place is breathtaking. The natural beauty of Oribi Gorge combined with the peaceful atmosphere of the lodge made for the perfect getaway. Thank you for such an unforgettable experience! We will definitely be back.

The two-bedroom, self-catering tents at AfriCamps have a kitchen, dining area and seating area. The main bedroom has a Queen bed, while the second bedroom has a double bed with a single bunk bed. Each tent has a bathroom with a shower. My second stay at an AfriCamps location; first time for my partner. We loved the location, the privacy of each of the tents surrounded by nature. The kitchen is suitably equipped and the large porch includes a braai. An absolute highlight: enjoying the breathtaking night sky from the wood-fired hot tub. Also worth a plunge-even on cold days-the pool by the main house. Sadly we weren't able to enjoy our hoped for water safari due to wind but instead we enjoyed a delightful morning bush walk with our guide, Cosmo.

The chalet, set in a building dating from 1940, is 34 km from Winterton Museum and 50 km from Spioenkop Nature Reserve. There is a sun terrace and guests can make use of free WiFi and free private parking. This is a magical place! A country house in rustic chic nestled on a high point with a great view towards the mountains and over the valley. Staying in the house was like a mini refuge from the world. Totally loved it!
