Extremely friendly host to long distance JMT/PCT hikers. She greeted us with bottles of cold water and fresh fruit. They have a couple of hiker boxes and a place you can dry laundry out back. Independence is such a great stop for all hikers - a true little oasis.

Located in Lone Pine, this motel features air-conditioned rooms with free Wi-Fi. Free guest parking is available. Wild West Show Museum is 3 minutes’ walk away.

Clean and homey. Gentleman that checked me in was very kind.
