the location was absolutely perfect, at the edge of the woods. It gave the room a wonderful view and made for optimum rest. The host went out of her way to be helpful and altogether it was an exceptional time.

The property was compact but with everything you need. a very warm home with a comfortable bed, great internet connection and perfectly placed for getting away from it all. All communication was polite, prompt and efficient.

Everything, the location was lovely and tranquil, but also close to everything (Colchester, Coggleshall and Flatford all really easy to reach and local shops and restaurants not far - local pub is good too). The hosts were very thoughtful and provided everything needed for a lovely stay. It was homely, easy to find, well laid out for parking and picking up the keys, is one of the best holiday cottages I have visited.

Excellent location for camping or pod staying, with BBQ facilities, wood for fire and very good shower and toilet facilities. There is drinking water available at the tap and a washing place for dishes. The owners were very helpful and friendly. The fields around the farm are simply from another world; it is so beautiful to watch the sun rise and set over the golden fields. Nearby you can go to Tiptree where there are shops and the very nice Tea Room of the Tiptree jam factory. Either very nice places to visit near by, in order of distance: Monastery of St. John the Baptist, Tolleshunt Knights, Beth Chatto Gardens, West Mersea (great fresh sea food), Clacton on Sea - excellent sandy beach for swimming (water was quite nice for early July, 18 degrees, go a bit higher toward Holland on Sea for easy parking).

Absolutely spectacular property - stunning inside & out! It was such a treat to stay here. It had everything you could possibly need to make your stay comfortable. John was an extremely helpful host and a real gentleman. The surroundings were tranquil, for the most part. The wildlife was beautiful.

Everything. Friendly, although not included in the accommodation the home pub cooking was generous, proper home made and set a new standard in fully packed meat pies! Plus yogurt and yummies left in the fridge, In the room. TV worked with out having to sign my life away. Shower was super good, towels folded into a round and tucked into them selves. Toilet paper left with a delicate fold. I could go on, but this place is well worth a bit extra. Lovey owners and great pub conversation.
