I just got back from this place called T'Aloni on the Greek island of Leukada, and let me tell you, it was a real trip. The man running the place, Theo, he's a character. We were just looking for a place to crash for the night, but Theo's cooking was so damn good, we ended up staying longer. The man can work some magic in the kitchen. And he speaks great English!  But the real kicker, the thing that'll make you never want to leave, is the view from the rooms and the restaurant. Just look at this picture I took.  It's like someone went crazy with a bucket of green paint and just flung it all over the hills and trees. And those mountains in the background, they're just sitting there looking all hazy and mysterious, like they're hiding some ancient Greek secrets. The sea in the distance promises a great adventure. It's the kind of place you can just kick back, crack open a cold one and take in all that natural beauty. Or you can sit there and contemplate the meaning of life, either way works. So if you ever find yourself on this little island of Leukada, do yourself a favor and look up T'Aloni. Theo will take good care of you, and that view alone is worth the trip.  Just don't be surprised if you end up staying a lot longer than you planned, like I did. All in all: great food, great atmosphere, great sleep in a tranquil, small town of Chortata.

Each year I spend part of my vacation in Greece and so far I have been in hundreds wonderful guest houses and family run hotels. Alexia’s house is my favourite accommodation and for sure I will visit again. The house is situated in Chortata – small quiet village in the middle of the west part of Lefkada where the best beaches of the island are located. The view from the balcony is spectacular – peace, beauty, serenity and wonderful sunsets. The apartment is on the second floor, with two bedrooms, fully equipped kitchen and huge terrace. Alexia is the best host – she prepared for us some home-made cookies, boiled for us eggs from her chickens and made us feel very welcomed. Everything was perfectly clean and decorated with taste. Sleeping quality is fantastic and for those seeking for relaxing, beautiful and quiet accommodation in Lefkada, Alexia’s is the best choice.

Our host Sofia goes above and beyond to make us feel welcome. The sunsets are amazing. Very peaceful and beautiful place. The kids loved the pool. Would happily recommend

Excellent two floor villa (ground floor: kitchen, half bathroom, living room, balcony; 1st floor: bedroom, full bathroom, balcony) with private pool and parking. Peaceful location in the center of the island, allowing us to get a head start in the mornings to popular beaches on the west island coast before they get too crowded. Owners go above and beyond to make sure your stay is a pleasant one!!
