I've lived in Rosario for most of my life, but a few years back I moved to a different country, so now I'm visiting it to see my family. I really recommend anyone coming here to take some time and see the nature around, you can take one of the boats that crosses to the Islands in front of the city or the "Barco Ciudad de Rosario" for a 1 hour tour. This is not something you see much around in a city with 1M+ people. The parks are very nice, and the nightlife is also very different from other Argentinian cities.
Great city, people, lots of bars and stuff to do, friend a local, they'll show you around and you'll get to see not just the touristic spots and also enjoy more their culture, which is truly nice.
Lovely city, a bit hit by the economic recession on which Argentina is dealing with. That doesn't dulls the beautifulness of the city, its historic buildings, rich and interesting history and lively boulevards. The coastal walk of the Parana is a must: more than 20 miles of river shore: Florida beach is nice if you want to sink your feet. Final the food is very cheap for international standards: For two, I spent around US$250 during 5 days sparing no expenses and visiting top restaurants. Will come back!
Walking tours of the museum and the monument to the flag are very interesting and educational. The trip of the coast of the Paraná River is very nice. We didn't have time for a boat ride of the river, they run on a specific schedule and we had to meet other friends at the time. Same problem with visiting the aquarium. We would need a longer stay to see everything. We'd love to go back some day. We did a lot of walking, the rest we traveled by taxi. Ask the residents for places to eat and they offer good recommendations
Rosario is a big city with lots of green spaces. As for tourism, apart from the foody experience there are some historical spots to visit (Flag monument, etc). Not too many but just enough to make a one-night-two-days stay. Next to the river you will find a great place to walk, run, use your skateboard or enjoy some air. The main street has nice options if you are looking for some Argentinian food and good beer.
Alto Rosario (the "cool" neighborhood) is really nice and has plenty of nice new places to eat. Went to Rock'n Fellers for lunch and It was great (even though waited 10 minutes for a table to have lunch on a weekday). The flag monument was being restored, so that was a minus. The rest of town is NOT really nice and looks like tourists (and locals) need an extra pair of eyes to look out for thieves.

My experience was incredible from the first moment I got inside! The two girls which are at the receptions are fantastic! They welcomed me and gave me tips about Rosario, where to go and eat! I had a fantastic time there. My room was clean and the bathrooms too! Breakfast was simple( typical in Argentina or Italy too) but lovely. Extra point: they know how to do a very good expresso!
