The hotel exceeded our expectations, the staff went above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable with lots of advice, day trip ideas and genuine care. I could not have asked for anything more, it was perfect. The views were breath-taking and the local walking routes across the German border to Mittenwald along the river was a welcomed addition. The staff made it easy to plan Ski / Snowboarding trips, explaining the best slopes for the time of year as well as sending us a discounted code for public transport and other day trips. The Sauna was exceptional and not overcrowded, a fantastic idea after a long day on the slopes, it was always clean and tidy with plenty of spare towels on hand.

Tucked silently on a street with no traffic, surrounded by Alpine views, with meadows on the doorstep and a garden to laze in the sun, staring at the Karwendel peaks, this immaculately appointed ground floor apt is a wonderful stop, ideal for a cycling base or walking. Everything was perfect, including the host!

We have a great time here, I recommend it for families as well. There are fantastic hiking spots in the area, but it’s worth being prepared for the many horseflies and taking measures to protect yourself against them.

Very good location as a base for hiking in that region. Philipp responded super fast to questions. The room was cosy and we slept very well. The kitchen and common area on the ground floor are super big. Would definitely stay again!

If you want techno clubs and high fashion shops, its not for you. Hiking, mtn biking, ski/snowboard training at the airbag facility in the summer, skiing etc in the winter, horse riding, killer views, awesome cakes and perfectly aged meat, youll love it.

The apartment is spacious and very well equipped, being able to accommodate 4 people very well. The possibilities to spend time outdoors are countless and the fact that there is a train station in Scharnitz, makes this place of accommodation very interesting. There aren't many restaurants nearby, so it's good to take that into account. The hosts were very welcoming and kind, and the information received from Heinz about the hiking trails in the area, as well as the weather, were particularly valuable.

We spent in Frankenhof Hotel 5 nights. I liked everything - cosy and clean room with nice view of mountains, very good breakfast, close proximity to the cable car in Seefeld and Mittenwald (Karwendel) and very hospitable hostess! I definitely recommend the Frankenhof Hotel to those who want to spend a good holiday in the area near to Karwendel National Park. Thanks to Analise for very warm welcome!

The design of the place is excellent. Both in style as in layout. The cool place to hang and dry your clothes. The spacious kitchen and the balcony with excellent sunchair. The bathroom has a great mirror and strong and warm shower. All together it was a great experience. There were complimentary drinks (non alcohol). The new tunnel makes Scharnitz bloom.

I had a fantastic stay in Scharnitz. The apartment was incredibly comfortable, and the view was simply breathtaking. The location was perfect, offering easy access to all the hiking trails. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a great getaway.

Our apartment was close to town and the station in Scharnitz. Great for self catering and there is a small supermarket nearby. Very comfortable with a balcony too. Elena , the host, was very attentive and helpful.
