- The ideal location, close to everything and easy to find. - The shared kitchen allowed us to socialise with other guests and enjoy our meals in a good atmosphere. - The yurt was tastefully furnished, well isolated and spacious enough for three people. The bed was very comfortable and we slept very well. - The excellent communication with the owner, a very kind person who was attentive to our needs and made our stay as pleasant as possible. - The calm and relaxed atmosphere of the campsite.

This was a perfect little spot in Augusta! Only steps from the local coffee shops and shops. Was a great little studio for us and the kids - with a lovely deck off the front of the house. It had a nice view of the river and was a lovely walk down by the river to The Colour Patch cafe. There was great communication with the property manager and it was an easy check-in and check-out process.

We loved the motel, our room was amazing! And the owner's attention was exceptional ❤️ attended us even when we arrived very late and he is a very sweet and helpful person. The room was very well equipped, it had a big kitchen with all utensils, fridge, big bathroom, big TV, very comfortable king bed and an additional smaller one! It even had a sofa. And at a good price! We totally recommend it!

"If you’re looking for a peaceful spot by the Blackwood River, this is it. We stayed over Christmas and had a brilliant time. The standout for us was how friendly the staff were and the fact that the bathrooms were kept spotless even during the busy holiday period. A great family-friendly location that feels like a well-kept secret."

Kind, calm hosts during wild weather - perfect for families!

Kind, calm hosts during wild weather - perfect for families! We stayed 3 nights 30 May – 2 June with 7 adults + 1 child. We picked Augusta Escape because we wanted to explore Cape Leeuwin, Canal Rocks, and Margaret River without rushing. The units were clean, spacious, and had everything we needed for a big family. Kitchen was very well equipped, parking was easy, and it was central for day trips to Augusta Bakery, Cape Leeuwin, and Canal Rocks. Our 10yo loved having room to spread out after long drives. The highlight though was how the owners handled the wild weather and power failure on 31 May. They gave us battery powered torchlight, checked in on us, and kept everyone calm. When our BBQ gas ran low, the neighbours offered their portable gas stove and we managed to boil water + cook noodles by torchlight. That kind of community spirit turned a blackout into one of our favourite memories. Even with the storm, we managed Canal Rocks, Cape Leeuwin, and wine tasting at Swings & Roundabouts the next day. Augusta was a great base. A very big thank you to our kind and lovely hosts, Kyra and Mark ,for looking after us so well when the weather turned. We’d definitely stay again.

We were at Augusta before starting the Cape to Cape walk and it was a perfect spot to stay prior to leaving. The views around Augusta are stunning and well worth the visit. The bakery provided a good range of food for Breakfast and a number of Cafe/restaurants are available for dinner in the area. I used the bakery for breakfast and also for a lunch for the first day of the walk. I wish I had spent another night in the town to check out the beach and admire the view.

Augusta is on the southern coast of WA where the 2 oceans meet, also is where Cape Leeuwin lighthouse is, which is always open for tours with a lovely little cafe. Augusta is a gorgeous little town with its beautiful scenic beaches and river and has some quirky little shops etc. and is also close to nearby Margaret River which is only about 25mins away by car and close to nearby wineries, jewel caves, and with lots of touristy things to see and do.

Cute and quiet seaside town with a few good cafes, a pub, and lots of attractions close by, eg convenient to Margaret River, Cape Leeuwin Lighthouse, interesting limestone caves. Has nice swimming beaches and picnic spots. The Colour Patch cafe is particularly good, and was open for breakfast, lunch and dinner while we were there (school hols).

Town is pretty and well maintained, locals very friendly . Not enough venues for dining/dinner, but the food was good where we visited. Dined at the Pub both nights, not many other options, but can't complain about the food or service.

Love self contained room with sea view, watching the sun rise is amazing. The host is very welcoming and helpful, she provided very useful introduction of Augusta. The breakfast is simple and it suits us well. (Muesli and Weetbix). Freddy the dog and the cat are on their own in separate area of the house. It was a very enjoyable stay. The Rare Food Co. is only a few minutes drive where you can taste the local Green Lip Abalone with wine.

We booked our stay at the last minute while travelling through Augusta during a powerful storm. We ended up arriving well after check-in hours, so we were incredibly grateful for how flexible, understanding, and ready to help the staff were. A beautiful couple went above and beyond to make sure we could get into our room and settle in safely. Being welcomed with such kindness made all the difference☺️

Nice view onto the river, comfortable bed, beautiful spacious bathroom and nice products. I felt like we were at home, no motel odours. Super clean. One of my favourite accommodations I’ve stayed in. I’ll definitely stay again on a return visit to Augusta. Gorgeous wildflower walk at the end of the street .
