The roof top bar - Songbird was a lovely place to relax and unwind at the end of the day with a gin and tonic. Lovely setting with great views of the city. The location was perfect with easy access to the ferries and river tours and Elizabeth Quay. The rooms were large, clean and had everything you needed. My room had a stunning river view with a view of the Bell tower.

Excellent location of the hotel, very friendly and helpful staff, nice and clean rooms. We are especially grateful to Boris for all the guidance and help regarding transportation. The hotel has a nice swimming pool and offers very tasty food. We were able to put our luggage in the waiting room on a late flight. Everything is very professionally arranged and at the same time friendly, homely and comfortable. Thank you all ❤️

FAQs about hotels in Perth

Serene as the Swan

Sun-drenched and laidback, Perth is simply a joy to be in. However, the West Australian capital does have tourist attractions, such as the Colonial-era mint, important in the country’s gold industry. East is the WACA, a must-see for cricket fans, and the city is also mad for Aussie Rules football.

The city centre has the historic Government House and Supreme Court, both dwarfed by the ultra-modern skyscrapers a few streets behind. The best skyline view is from leafy King’s Park, near the War Memorial overlooking the Swan River below, named after its black swans. Across the river in Perth Zoo are more native animals including koalas, crocodiles and free-hopping kangaroos.

Boats to the zoo leave from the Barrack Street jetty by a sail-shaped bell tower. Other day trips from Perth include Rottnest Island and Fremantle, down the river in the opposite direction from Perth Airport.

The apartments, B&Bs and hotels in Perth are spread all over this fantastic city, interspersed with restaurants serving specialities such as western rock lobster and chilli mussels. There is also a wealth of bars, many playing the indie music that the city is known for. Local brews from the Swan Brewery and wines from the Swan Valley vineyards round off the evening.

Very windy - I was surprised

Very windy - I was surprised Hilly - not as hilly as Sydney - but I was surprised, given how flat Adelaide is Public Transport is amazing - so easy to get from the Airport to accommodation, then from Perth Train Station back to the Airport - try it you will not look back. The Cat bus links were the easy way to get around. I was disappointed with myself that I did not go on the Yellow Cat, the rest (4) were by far easy to use. Free bus rides on all buses within the CBD - that was a very pleasant surprise. Kings Park at sunset is amazing, take a little Esky and enjoy !! There are so many things to do - Take a Star Gazing and Pinnacle guided tour - do not pass up the opportunity to do so Rottenest Island - loved the ferry ride but being on the + side of 60, I say leave it to the sub 40's however the wood oven pizza was to die for..

Transport system is excellent and very cheap.

Transport system is excellent and very cheap. Plenty of places to visit. The Perth Museum is really good for a family outing. Information on places to visit is available at various locations including train stations. The addition of a train service at the Airport is really good. A visit to the Optus stadium and the adjoining Matagarup footbridge is worth a visit especially at night. A trip across the Swan by Ferry at night is also good for some good night photos.

Been to Perth a few times, and the only thing I can complain about is the traffic (I am from a small country town, so I don't have to deal with traffic). Perth has a lot of nice places, both indoors and outdoors. Would recommend everyone check out Perth.

Perth is lively with lots to do - tennis and cricket on when I was there. Visited Titanic and Terracotta Warrior exhibitions. Lots of nice restaurants and cocktail bars. Open air cinema, Christmas lights trail and New years Eve fireworks, everyday something different to do. Fremantle and Leederville close by. Beautiful Scarborough Beach a free bus ride away. Highlight trip to Rottnest to cycle and see quorkas.

Perth is a wonderful City with amazing views, beautiful beaches nearby and walks. Good for shopping and history too. Public transport very good too with lots of free services. Highly recommend. Must visit Rottnest to see the quokkas and cruise down the Swan river. Amazing views of the city from King’s Park. Scarborough beach worth a visit and beaches all the way down to Fremantle.

Convenient location with an IGA and take-away food options nearby. The bus stop to the CBD directly outside the hotel was handy. The airport shuttle service was excellent. Kids loved the pool, which was clean and great for cooling off after a hot day in Perth. The 2 bedroom apartment was comfortable and clean enough for our needs.
