I love how it was close to everything. There is a playground nearby. The staff were very nice. I wish I took all their names, but we checked in on October 31st around midday. He was able to checked us in early. The food options for lunch were great. We absolutely enjoyed it. The breakfast not so much as the hotcakes were not warm anymore...but I will still go back and will still eat there because of the staff. My very shy son absolutely love Michel... I think she is the manager in the restaurant side of the hotel. She is fantastic and a gem. The staff were amazing to kids. The family room with the bunk beds are also cool. The beds are comfy in our opinion. I wish we could have stayed longer but til next time.

Serene as the Swan

Sun-drenched and laidback, Perth is simply a joy to be in. However, the West Australian capital does have tourist attractions, such as the Colonial-era mint, important in the country’s gold industry. East is the WACA, a must-see for cricket fans, and the city is also mad for Aussie Rules football.

The city centre has the historic Government House and Supreme Court, both dwarfed by the ultra-modern skyscrapers a few streets behind. The best skyline view is from leafy King’s Park, near the War Memorial overlooking the Swan River below, named after its black swans. Across the river in Perth Zoo are more native animals including koalas, crocodiles and free-hopping kangaroos.

Boats to the zoo leave from the Barrack Street jetty by a sail-shaped bell tower. Other day trips from Perth include Rottnest Island and Fremantle, down the river in the opposite direction from Perth Airport.

The apartments, B&Bs and hotels in Perth are spread all over this fantastic city, interspersed with restaurants serving specialities such as western rock lobster and chilli mussels. There is also a wealth of bars, many playing the indie music that the city is known for. Local brews from the Swan Brewery and wines from the Swan Valley vineyards round off the evening.

Absolutely beautiful city - it's so clean!

Absolutely beautiful city - it's so clean! The public transport was really easy to navigate with the Transperth app. Coming from a country with below average public transport, it was a bit daunting, but it was super easy to figure out. There are so many things to see and do, but I also recommend getting out of the city and going to see the rugged coastline and the national parks.

Perth is a vibrant city with a lot to offer. Lots of convenient places to stay. Always check with your accommodation if there is onsite parking, if you need to book a parking space and also if there's an additional charge. Public transport is great and very affordable. Its worth checking if there's public transport to or close to where you are attending any events. You can save yourself a whole lot of $$ and its pretty safe too.

Perth I lovely. A big/small city.

Perth I lovely. A big/small city. Lots to offer and relatively easy to get around by Public Transport. Swan river is lovely, Fremantle is awesome. Beaches are nice but wary of sharks around. Be alert of what is around and if beach closed stay away. Pinnacles ate great... needed a bit more time.

Perth is a wonderful place to visit.

Perth is a wonderful place to visit. Very good public transport on the Cat bus system and the rail system. Inner city has many places to visit including Kings Park. The Cat bus system gives free transport to many locations. Freemantle by train less than 30 mins. Many good restaurants in Perth central. Wonderful climate and safe city.

This is a great value stay in Perth where many hotels are quite expensive. It is basic but very clean, comfortable and includes parking in the rate, so for Perth it is really good value. The location is great for us as it is close to where we need to get to but Bentley is quite well located to get to most places in the city if you have a car. I have stayed here a few times before and will definitely stay again.
