Although we have been previously we only spent a day there this time and there is so much to do and see there we should have stayed a week.

Bendigo is a fabulous location for a family trip.
Bendigo is a fabulous location for a family trip. There is plenty for the whole family to see and do in Bendigo. We enjoy visiting the historical sites and learning more about the gold rush. Many sites are in easy walking distance of each other meaning we barely used our car to get around. Bendigo is also very central for visiting other areas.

Cleanliness is of utmost importance, this motel was not clean, plenty of aerosol spray had been used, but in close look, not clean. Clean towels would have been appreciated as wet dirty onles not acceptable, especially when they are partly worn out.

I have been before - ideal distance from Melbourne for a day trip or a short break. I enjoy the beautiful old buildings and parklands in the city centre, and the fact that Bendigo is a junction for roads to many other destinations. I will be back!

I would look for somewhere else to stay other than Mecure.
I would look for somewhere else to stay other than Mecure. sugest all seasons in stead.
A Credit Card Deposit demanded on the room was unjustified as room had been paid in full in advance.
We do not live in a cashless society and nor should we their policy and procedures need to change, this is Australia not France.
I was forced to pay up $ 100 cash deposit on late check in and went hungry all night as had no other money to purchase food after traveling for work all day.
The cottage was a small oasis at the end of a 4 week work trip where we drove from Melbourne to Adelaide to Mildura, Wagga Wagga, Shepparton and finally Bendigo! Our hotel booking screwed up and we found this cottage at the 11th hour - Sue was a fantastic and responsive host! We couldn’t have asked for a better ending place!
The hotel was beautifully presented and the room was large, exceptionally clean and the bed was very comfortable - neither too hard nor too soft. The staff were very professional and friendly. Perhaps the best feature was the location, within short walking distance of many of the things we wanted to see in Bendigo.
I reguarly stay in Bendigo for work and I have found my go-to hotel. The room was comfortable and spacious, heating is fantastic, everything is clean, no harsh lighting which I appreciate, there was everything I needed, and the option of breakfast is a bonus. Will definitely stay again.
What a lovely old hotel! We stayed here after staying in new apartments in Melbourne and it was so nice to be in an old fashioned hotel. Stunning building with really beautiful stained glass everywhere. Meals were also superb in the pub downstairs. Can't wait to stay again.
this hotel is always our favourite to stay at. We have stayed here 3 times before. The beds at the Bendigo Mercure are the comfiest bed I have ever slept in. The staff are always willing to help you.
