It was very relaxing environment with plenty of animal interaction. A lovely distraction from the days of driving and staying in sterile hotel rooms. Everything available to make this a comfortable self contained stay. Sadly this was only a brief overnight stay for us.

A stay in Blackbutt is anchored on the Bakery which is legendary. It's a model little country QLD town. The local pub is a gem and the people welcoming and friendly to out-of-towners. Hardware store, takeaway shop, etc. Lined each side of the highway that runs through the middle of the town. Functional, comfortable motel.

Blackbutt had all the amenities one would need although I...

Blackbutt had all the amenities one would need although I took all my own provisions. A nice tidy and quiet town. For those who are addicted to noise and the fast life, it wouldn't be suited and places like the Gold Coast would be much better. Definitely not a place for yuppies.

The food at the Pub was fantastic and very well priced if not a steal ($15 ) schnitzel with great chips and awesome side salad. Never to be beaten, the CWA scones served every Wednesdays. What a fantastic contributor to local community and as mentioned, the best scones I have tasted and trust me, I have had plenty.
