On arrival the new manager greeted us very warmly and friendly, she explained that our room wasn't ready so she put us in a queen instead of a standard room as I had booked. She apologised to us but we told her there's no need to. Amazing shower, very powerful, what you need to wake you up. I left a thank you note on the mirror as I think it should be called the Gold mine!! 🙂

Very pleasant country town, good bakeries and coffee shops,...

Very pleasant country town, good bakeries and coffee shops, interesting to walk around and see the local architecture and visit OP Shops. Had a pleasant picnic breakfast in the park at the end of the main street. Lovely drive to the nearby settlement of 'Neville' with it's quirky pub and nursery coffee shop.

Blayney is a perfect place to stay as a country retreat.

Blayney is a perfect place to stay as a country retreat. A road trip such as Millthorpe, Carcoar and Rockley Villages are a must. The Royal Hotel Blayney do a great pub meal and be in time on a Friday night for the meat raffle.

Tell you a little more ? Booking .com took the accommodation costs out of my account 4 days before my stay. The Exchange Hotel had closed, went out of business months before. So after many calls to Booking .com and,a major sporting event with 100000 people expected to attend Booking .com could help Mr in anyway because the nearest accommodation available was 120 km away. So I had to sleep in my car. How dare Booking.com take my money for accommodation for a hotel that doesn't exist. Never again.doing business with Booking. com

The location was perfect for our needs: close to our relatives and main street of Blayney. The house was ideal for accommodation for the 3 of us. We were able to prepare our own meals as needed or simply go downtown for a drink at the local watering hole. When we got the heating sorted, very comfortable. The undercover parking was an excellent bonus, considering that it was raining during our stay.
