The cabin we stayed in was a really good size for our family of 4, was very comfortable and the location is great - we were at the front of the park and the view of the river was lovely. The kitchen was well stocked with kitchen utensils and everything worked well. All in all, it was a very good place to stay

I went there purposely to go to a CATS football game on the Saturday night. Went up to Melbourne by train one day - lovely day out. Went to 12 Apostles another day - great countryside. City has some lovely old buildings and some old industrial heritage all ratehr tired now since Ford pulle dout of manufacturing in Australia.
I feel bad for saying it but Geelong is not a place I'd recommend to visit outside of necessity. It's bland, offers nothing unique and feels like a giant drive through town...(sorry just being honest)
Have been visiting Geelong on a regular basis since September 1966. It has changed a great deal, mostly for the better. Only thing that distracts from being a very enjoyable destination is the sickness that permeates almost every part of the city. This being a very sad puerile obsession with fumble ball (AFL).
Was difficult to find places to eat when driving around. With the cold wind most places had their doors shut & looked like they were closed. Most were located down the little side streets which were mainly one way or walking only.
Stayed for one night I thought it was very nice with no concerns There is nowhere to park other than metered for 3hrs only so you have to use their valet parking which was $40 and that added to the hotel price is quite expensive
Saw a bit of the waterfront this trip. Very bright vibe. Geelong West, Pakington Street, had a great shopping strip, and excellent restaurants. Seemed to gravitate back here each day and night. Recommend Squires Loft for a great meal, both steak and seafood.
