Perfectly set amongst the vineyards. It was so peaceful!! The option of bikes was fantastic, it was a short ride down the road to the old Coonawarra train station which takes a stunning pic as the sun is setting. Maria and Peter are so friendly and welcoming. Maria’s fresh baked bread is such a beautiful treat in the morning along with the fresh eggs, coffee and juice. Perfect stay. Couldn’t have been happier with our stay! Highly recommend picking up a takeaway pizza from Ottelia at lunch and popping it in the fridge for later. It crisped up perfectly in the oven and we enjoyed it with a delicious bottle of red we picked up from one of our favourite wineries. The bed was very comfortable and it was a nice dark room. 3 pillow options helped make for a great nights sleep. Highly recommend!!

Coonawarra Place Motor Inn is located in the heart of the Coonawarra Vineyards. It is 8 km from Penola restaurants and shops. Guest has access to free on-site parking.

Very clean, spacious and warm on a cold night. Beautiful surrounds amongst local vineyards and well maintained lawn and garden on the property. It is a kilometre or two out of town on the Riddoch Hwy, but traffic noise is not an issue as rooms are set back a bit from road and are very soundproof. The kitchenette includes a microwave, crockery, cutlery, chopping board, and sink and breakfast items were supplied. Beds were super comfortable and shower had great water pressure and hot water. We’d love to stay here again - hopefully for more than one night next time.

Location was passable but not really a bush setting. Kitchen sink was excellent. The hosts tried.
