Everything. All amenities and basic necessities were covered from a fully stocked kitchen to washing machine and clothes line for laundry. Location was perfect, super secluded and relaxing, we spent the following day visiting Kondalilla Falls / National Park and exploring Montville, for that reason it couldn’t have been a more ideal location. 10 minutes from the closest town with every shop you could possibly need. 10/10 would and most likely will stay again!!

Mapleton is a very pretty area leading on to Montville and...

Mapleton is a very pretty area leading on to Montville and surrounding towns. It is a pretty drive through lush hinterland scenery. There are limited eating places at Mapleton. You cannot buy a proper breakfast at the establishments only coffee shop offers with a few extras.

Situated in the hinterland mountains of the Sunshine Coast, this area has great appeal. Good restaurants, boutique shops, and wonderful scenic walks, or for the less active, plenty of scenic drives. Whether swimming under waterfalls, or enjoying excellent food this area is an excellent choice.

Hiking in the area is always fantastic.

Hiking in the area is always fantastic. The shops are quaint and quirky if that's your thing (not really mine) but for me it's the region's nature that keeps me coming back. To that end, there are pretty limited mid-range accommodation options that aren't in the townships. Some areas have more of that sort of thing nestled right among the mountains and forests, whereas in this area that kind of accommodation is harder to find and more expensive - though if you're willing to head down the range to the Eudlo area (it's only a 20 minute drive) you can do well staying there and taking day trips up the mountains.

Mapleton is a small country town on the top of a ridgeline...

Mapleton is a small country town on the top of a ridgeline with that side having views over Mount Coolum and Marcoola to the ocean in the distance. There are numerous hikes/walks in the area including access to the Sunshine Coast Great Walk. If you visit I would highly recommend having a lunch at the Mapleton Hotel, it was an absolute surprise, the food and service was sensational. The more touristy town of Montville is a short drive away. The town also has several coffee shops, an IGA and service station.

Mapleton is a quiet area close to natural beauty.

Mapleton is a quiet area close to natural beauty. Not too far to travel for a light meal. Fish and chips great, meals at Mapleton Tavern. Coastal and country views. Good location for a base. Not too far to drive to Flaxton, Montville and onto Maleny.

What wasn’t to like? Upon arrival, Rachel greeted us and we even got to pat baby joeys! The amenities were abundant - infinity pool overlooking the valley, cinema, guest lounge and dining, spa. Our room was lovely, private and stunning. The views were 100/10. The information book was very clear and had a lot of information! Property was located close to nearby Mapleton where we have a bevvie at Mapleton Public House and pizza from the nearby joint was incredible!

This property is located in a quiet location close to Mapleton township. We had a lovely view out over the valley and the rooms were beautifully decorated and very comfortable with ALL the amenities you could wish for! The refrigerator was well stocked with milk, juice, bread, croissants, jams, butter etc and breakfast cereals, coffee capsules... were also supplied. The owner, Renee, and her sons looked after us so very well.

The views were spectacular. The bedrooms were spacious and comfortable. Also, the location is close to Montville, Mapleton and Maleny. There is an IGA and petrol station just a couple minutes away as well. And we all enjoyed sitting around the fire pit. The kids loved roasting marshmallows.

Beautifully located just a short walk from the falls and a short drive to Mapleton and Montville. The cottage was spotlessly clean and felt wonderfully upmarket. The fireplace and bath made it extra special.
