Everything. All amenities and basic necessities were covered from a fully stocked kitchen to washing machine and clothes line for laundry. Location was perfect, super secluded and relaxing, we spent the following day visiting Kondalilla Falls / National Park and exploring Montville, for that reason it couldn’t have been a more ideal location. 10 minutes from the closest town with every shop you could possibly need. 10/10 would and most likely will stay again!!

We enjoyed every moment of our stay at Karma Suites. Check in was really easy and the place was immaculate. Also saw a couple of people around the complex who were super friendly. The view is absolutely breathtaking - you can’t not wake up with a smile with your face. The added touches of the magnesium salts and dressing gowns were very appreciated. Have already recommended Karma Suites to friends.

Only a few minutes out of Montville, but you feel like you are far, far away from the rest of the world. It's beautiful and so peaceful, and I felt like I could stay there forever. The view of the mini- lake, complete with lily pads and frogs, from the bedroom and living room was wonderful. Absolutely recommend 100% if you are looking for an escape. I think it's particularly suited to romantic escapes! The owner/ managers take excellent care of you without being even slightly intrusive. Hot, fresh baked croissants hung quietly and unobtrusively on your door every morning for breakfast! So many thoughtful little touches in the cottage, including a freshly laid fire ready to light! And you don't even notice other guests! I particularly loved how many birds were on the property, whipbirds, kookaburras, currawongs, butcher birds, frogmouths (I saw 4!) Yellow tailed black cockatoos, sulfer crested cockatoos, pale headed rosella, ibis, doves, ducks to name a few... It's perfectly located to explore the sunshine coast hinterland, but if you were so inclined you could never leave the property for your whole stay! Just a note for anyone trying to work on holiday, there's no wifi and certain mobile sim cards will drop in and out of service, just as they do in the whole hinterland area. I'm not putting this in the category of things I disliked because it was not important to me.

Situated in the hinterland mountains of the Sunshine Coast, this area has great appeal. Good restaurants, boutique shops, and wonderful scenic walks, or for the less active, plenty of scenic drives. Whether swimming under waterfalls, or enjoying excellent food this area is an excellent choice.

Hiking in the area is always fantastic.

Hiking in the area is always fantastic. The shops are quaint and quirky if that's your thing (not really mine) but for me it's the region's nature that keeps me coming back. To that end, there are pretty limited mid-range accommodation options that aren't in the townships. Some areas have more of that sort of thing nestled right among the mountains and forests, whereas in this area that kind of accommodation is harder to find and more expensive - though if you're willing to head down the range to the Eudlo area (it's only a 20 minute drive) you can do well staying there and taking day trips up the mountains.

Mapleton is a small country town on the top of a ridgeline...

Mapleton is a small country town on the top of a ridgeline with that side having views over Mount Coolum and Marcoola to the ocean in the distance. There are numerous hikes/walks in the area including access to the Sunshine Coast Great Walk. If you visit I would highly recommend having a lunch at the Mapleton Hotel, it was an absolute surprise, the food and service was sensational. The more touristy town of Montville is a short drive away. The town also has several coffee shops, an IGA and service station.

Mapleton is a quiet area close to natural beauty.

Mapleton is a quiet area close to natural beauty. Not too far to travel for a light meal. Fish and chips great, meals at Mapleton Tavern. Coastal and country views. Good location for a base. Not too far to drive to Flaxton, Montville and onto Maleny.

Mapleton is one of a string of small villages along the Blackall Range ridge with access to lots of rainforest walks, long and short, lakes, cafes, shops, galleries and restaurants. The Mapleton Tavern had good food and was open on a Monday night when many other venues were closed. Mapleton is much smaller and quieter than its neighbours Maleny and Montville and a nice alternative with less passing tourist traffic.

Fantastic!! One of my favourite getaways ever. Don’t be deterred by the low number of reviews - this place is brand spanking new. I’m biased because it’s where we stayed, but I think Evergreen is the best cabin - it faces directly into the nature reserve at the back of the property. The cabin is so spacious, the bathtub is massive, the fireplace is so convenient and easy to use, and the property is as close as possible to Mapleton National Park. Also Montville is only 10 minutes away!

The hosts are just lovely! Super cheerful, super friendly and we really admired how much effort they put in shaping their garden! The room is spacious and cozy. It has a nice Provence-alike vibe :) The breakfast is HUGE. I used to see way fewer options (and less tasty) in hotels than in this lovely B&B.
