Nimbin is a small community with a focus on natural living and natural medicine. Folk are friendly. One pub, a few souvenir shops, a few great cafes and that’s town. Blink and you can miss it. Markets every 4th Sunday.
Very friendly town, very small and doesn’t require a lot of time there. One night was more than enough, a few hours would be plenty. Very little to do there. The cafes and pub have great food at good prices. Best to visit when they have a festival on.
This little place has surprisingly loads of shopping we spent 4 hours shopping, the locals are friendly and the people in the shops are so friendly. The best part apart this place is it’s trying to make a difference with messages to the public that the government should legalise hemp and other certain things, we should overgrow our government I did see somewhere. It’s a great place to go and unwind, relax, there’s some lovely hikes around & some great parties as well.
The people in Nimbin are really nice - lots of smiles and greetings when you pass people in the street, and a sense of warmth that makes it a pleasure to return. The bowling club had great food with really large serves and the pizza place has the best house salad I've had.
We had only ever driven through Nimbin, but now wanted a closer look. It was very relaxed, good food, friendly service. On a recommendation from the ‘i’ office we took a drive to Rocky Creek Dam - a lovely day out, great views and a good walk. Nice spot for a picnic.
Interestingly history. A bit tacky now days with the hippie thing. Lots of shops with made in China and Nepalese made clothes. Lots of very old burnt out seniors with dreadlocks. But enjoyed the stay.
