For our road journey (Syd-Mel) this was the perfect location to stop off. The accommodation was excellent, clean with the onsite staff helpful. The town of Orbost had all we needed, with a beautiful park to walk around. Highly recommended and good value!

Clean and comfy. Everything worked. Decent heater (dropped to 2C the night I was there) This place is old school... no big square candles or dried flowers. But perfect for breaking up a road trip along the VIC/NSW coast. 5/10 min walk to the high street for a coffee/beer. Can highly recommend Bertie's burgers for dinner!

A perfect location, with wonderful staff and service. We felt right at home straight away. Although we inly spent one night, we could have easily stayed a week. Clean, well eqiped accomodation. Great with the kids, seperate bedroom is a blessing. I would give it a tripple A rating.

A quite country town right on the Princes Highway in easy 15...

A quite country town right on the Princes Highway in easy 15-minute reach of great boating and seaside appeal at Marlo. Travel a little over half an hour & enjoy thriving Lakes Entrance. Orbost has excellent food shopping with quality fresh food available in more than one location. Excellent Park with new facilities, including BBQ's, tables. children's playground, new & very clean bathroom facilities and lovely lawned areas. Worth visiting the Arts Centre in the main street for a gold coin donation. Support beautiful country towns like this so they don't disappear. We could have stayed longer than our two nights and Orbost Motel over the highway was just fantastic. Recommended.

orbost is a quaint little town for a stop-over.

orbost is a quaint little town for a stop-over. There's not really much to do other than any other small country town: they've got a good IGA and a swimming pool. Marlo and Cape Conran are an easy drive to access the beach.

I didnt have much of an opportunity to see the shops - seems...

I didnt have much of an opportunity to see the shops - seems to be a few vintage/second hand stores that i wanted to visit. We ate at Leon's palace as the orbost hotel's chef was ill therefore the restaurant was closed. The food was great. It is a small town with not lots to do, although we wouldve liked to experience it a little more, although we had just been there passing through.

Orbost river was such a great place to cool down and have a swim. The locals were there too and friendly Close to Buchan Caves which we visited and some waterfalls. Brothers has a brewery to enjoy and there is a terrific Foodworks in town for your basic needs- bread, milk etc.

Quaint quiet country town

Quaint quiet country town Set just off highway 1 so good for sleeping Chinese restaurant in town was yummy, plentiful and friendly Would recommend filling up petrol in the next town over towards Melbourne as it’s staffed Orbost was automated.

Design of the room was stylish and comfortable. Shower was great. Well equipped with cutlery, crockery, Microwave, Fridge and glassware. Great to have coffee machine. Very good bed. Staff were friendly. Top place to stay.

This motel exceeded our expectations. When we arrived in the rain, it looked a bit underwhelming however it was actually really great. The staff were helpful, the room had everything we needed, kettle, toaster, microwave, cutlery, utensils, washing up liquid and sponge, tea towel etc. hot water!! Yay! Heating, WiFi, fresh smelling sheets. Being on a road trip, this little motel was perfect for our one night stop. Not walking distance to Orbost but only a short drive. Was a really great place to stay.

Location was handy, food choices in Orbost were somewhat limited, and the main character hotel seems to be not leased at the moment, which is a shame. Next time we might bring our own food to cook. Hopefully a new owner / leasee can bring it back to life. Amazing tomato and lemon plants on the Longhorn property were a pleasant feature.

The Orbost Motel exceeded my expectations, being in rural location I didn’t expect the rooms to be so modern in design & well appointed. The 3 minute drive into the township is very direct. I have decided to stay at this motel on my return journey
