Rubyvale is an amazing town with friendly people, an interesting history and located in a beautiful bush setting. It is the home of stunning, locally mined sapphires and sapphire jewelry of incredible quality and a great price, unique artwork, delicious coffee and food and a whole lot of character. We have been to stay several times and will be back for more!

We chose this town because we didn't want a busy place.

We chose this town because we didn't want a busy place. We wanted to be able to just sit back and do nothing, with the convenience of small town amenities (pub, grocer and of course the jewellery shops)

Rubyvale was brilliant, from our host to the welcoming characters in the New Royal Hotel. The evening meal at the New Royal Hotel was the best of our two week touring holiday. The mine tour and searching for sapphires was fun and informative at the Miners Heritage. The Muggachino's Strudel hut was fantastic. We had both types of strudel (apple and the cherry) and it was divine.

Sweet little town with friendly locals.

Sweet little town with friendly locals. Many jewellery shops to visit and fossicking sites. You can do fossicking at the mines and not have to dig if you wish. Was a fun week of relaxation and exploring.

We went at the end of the area’s busy season.

We went at the end of the area’s busy season. The weather in September is beautiful and we got to spend a lot of time meeting locals and business owners. Had so much fun buying buckets of “wash” and searching for sapphires. It’s very addictive once you start finding gems amongst the gravel!

It's a fantastic location just outside Rubyvale. It was incredible to have the wildlife come right up to the front door. Had feeding wild wallabies and lorikeets was very special. Jane was very knowledgeable on the local area and on sapphires, which was very helpful. Would recommend this motel to anyone wanting a comfortable stay in the gem fields.

Absolutely incredible accommodation, beautiful grounds, very quiet and secluded but close to town. Very friendly staff and extremely clean. I would highly recommend staying here. We will be staying there again when we are in Rubyvale

Clean & Classy. Exceptionally well kept grounds. The overcast weather precluded use of the telescope. Have to choose a clear, moonless night for my next trip to Rubyvale. The birds, Eastern greys and friendly wallabies were a treat.
