Nice and clean, staff friendly and helpful. I arrived at 11pm and most places don’t allow check in that late but they do here. The motel is attached to a pub but it’s so quiet in the room you wouldn’t know.

After staying in some questionable places on my travels costing a lot more, I booked this online as it was offered as a clean, modern room with car parking. It did not disappoint, it was exactly as pictured online. The room was fresh, extremely clean, modern, functional, and parking was directly outside, the bed was very comfortable. Overall it exceeded my expectations. I was only there one night, but could have easily stayed a week in comfort.

There is a lot to see in & around Emerald even if you have...

There is a lot to see in & around Emerald even if you have to travel a bit. Go for a drive out to Lake Marraboon as it's very peaceful. The Star Hotel & Marraboon Tavern do beautiful meals & you get a lot for your money. It has a couple of shopping centers with everything you need plus some great cafes BUT you need to go to them before 2pm. It's very easy to find your way around town. Go for a drive out to Clermont as it has a lot of history & it's a lovely little country town. your also close to Rubyvale, Sapphire & the Gemfields.

Loved the wide streets & centre parking. Terrific tavern - the Mayfair, near the airport on Springsure road! Helpful staff @ tourist info centre. Visited Fairbairn Dam - interesting! Great brunch @ "Blah-Blah" cafe.

Lovely oasis in the Central Highlands that has everything...

Lovely oasis in the Central Highlands that has everything you need and the Botanical Gardens are a must-see. Also take a peak at the painting of the giant sunflower in Emerald.Lake Maraboon is nearby and we’ll worth a visit as are the gem field towns like Ruby and Sapphire. An hour’s drive away is the lovely town of Clermont where there is a wonderful museum that documents the history of the region. Great place to visit.

The traffic in Emerald is soooo much better than the capital...

The traffic in Emerald is soooo much better than the capital cities particularly Sydney. The only problem was the opening hours if the Suncorp Bank - 9.30am to 2pm Monday to Friday. I would love to work those hours. lol. Then they were not that helpful when I managed to catch them open. Hint- it’s a country town, don’t expect the world because they won’t have it. Prices are also elevated because they think everyone works in the surrounding mines. Lots of international people working there which can sometimes be difficult to make yourself understood. Not a bad place though.

We were surprised with the town, its growth and how clean and pretty it looked. The Motel 707 was a wonderful choice for our overnight stay and offered more than expected, all the staff, reception and kitchen were very on point with their professionalism and friendliness.

I had help from Wendy when I told her I intended to try and find my grandmother's grave at Emerald cemetery, and she was genuinely happy I was successful. Emerald is a friendly town with a warm welcome.

My favourite place to stay at Emerald, it is so peaceful there and has everything there that we need on our stays. I don't have to share a bathroom with the kids, the lounge and the beds are so comfortable after a long day on the road. You would hardly know anyone else is around as it is so quiet. (and we were there before on NYE)
