We love Tumbarumba our dog was born at Tumba ,we love the town and surrounding area, most of all we love the rail trail, and I sugest that you consider running a half and full marathon on the rail trail as it is a perfect place to run such an event,All the best Bob.
Beautiful NSW country town. Becoming popular with the opening of the Rail trail 21 km each way - this is a great attraction (suggestion to start at Rosewood if riding it in both directions so you do the hill up to Tumbarumba in the middle of your cycle). Town swimming pool is free for patrons. Charming town with all services you might need. Local wineries dotting the area too to enjoy a lunch. Part of the Hume and Hovell trail makes for a nice day walk and visit the waterfalls. Help the community recover from the devastating bushfires of last summer. Great coffee shop with home made cakes - recommend the almond and orange cake or the fig and spices cake - it was JUST out of the main town shops but in the house area - headed toward the falls (sorry I didn't catch their name)
Tumbarumba is a small country town that has lots of wonderful places to visit including Paddys River Falls, Glenroy craft centre and Women's Hut, nurseries, wineries and the Boggy Creek Show. Lots of great coffee shops in the town and a wonderful small cinema and cafe called 'The Nest'. Tumbarumba has an interesting gold mining and timber industry history and the Information Centre has some great displays on these historical industries. Close to the snowfields, it is a great place to stay winter or summer.
Great high country town with lots of cafes and eateries. Homes around town have lovely gardens. Don’t miss the short walk in Sugar Pine Forest near Lauren Hill to the north, the Creekscape walk in town or the Paddy’s River Falls to the south.
Its a small town away from any major city. Relaxed atmosphere and friendly people. If you enjoy farm life and sounds of nature, this place is for you. You can hear and see elements in their natural form and life is as its meant to be.
