Capital Plaza is set in an elegant mansion decorated with antique furniture, overlooking 25 de Mayo Square, downtown Sucre.

This is a classic early XX century hotel located on the very main square. I stayed in the huge shared room for 12 people,, but for the most part I was alone. The bed was comfortable and the shared bathroom was good. There's a refrigerator inside. I loved working in the restaurant area, where they serve a great breakfast included in the price. I also had lunch there for a reasonable price. Overall I recommend this if you want to avoid the noise in the party-oriented hostels that are also in the area.

This is perhaps the fifth time that I have visited Sucre...

This is perhaps the fifth time that I have visited Sucre with my partner. This time was for family reasons and not tourism. However, as always, Sucre - The White City - does not disappoint. We managed to go and see the indigenous show 'Origins' and combine the experience with dinner. This 'ethnic' history of Sucre was most enjoyable and I can thoroughly recommend it to all ages.

    The capital of Bolivia.

The capital of Bolivia. Amazing architecture in the churches and the government buildings. The city is alive with vendors, The central market is not to be missed. Many small cafes and restaurants, so much to explore and experience.

Sucre is capital of Bolivia but suddenly is very calm place.

Sucre is capital of Bolivia but suddenly is very calm place. People are nice and streets (except market area) are not crowded. City is quite small and centre has perfect construction. Need 10 minutes by walking to reach all interesting places. But most important is the history of that place... Worth to visit!

We were in Sucre for 4 days, it was lovely to have enough time to stop and watch the markets and see the town in its routine. Recommend hoping on a local bus for its route to see some of the back streets and hop off when something takes your fancy. Buses and Taxi's everywhere so you're never lost. Wonderful to see Indigenous tribes living here in Sucre, and their wonderful clothes and colours. Recommend taking the bus out "of town" to Mercado Campesino for a another view into the day to day of Sucre.

    Beautiful architecture and great food.

Beautiful architecture and great food. It was much better than I expected. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to do any of the tours, which would have been fantastic. I especially enjoyed the people of Sucre. I encourage everyone to visit this city for at least a day. I would have liked to stay longer. Try out some of the wines sold near the plaza! They're excellent.

Hotel in a house with a lot of character. Spacious room, with efficient heating and all possible comfort. I found the hotel staff (reception and breakfast service) always available and helpful and particularly understanding. As an example: -the hotel found me a cab to Uyuni very quickly when I asked them. -I arrived one day late due to the cancellation of my flight to Sucre. The hotel considered that this problem was not my fault and did not charge me for my first night at the hotel. I found this gesture very commendable and extremely rare!

This was one of my favorite hostels in Bolivia. It was super good organized, quiet and clean all the time. The shared bathrooms always had soap, toilet paper and a towel to dry off your hands which got changed regulary. Also the garden and the kitchen were perfect to chill and enjoy the time in the hostel. Also the owners gave a lot of information about what to do in and around Sucre. Lastly the area was perfect and safe and you could walk everywhere you needed to go. Only can recommend!!

The house was very spacious and beautifully decorated. And spotlessly clean throughout! Kitchen was well equipped with stove, fridge, water boiler, oven (needed host though to use it). Bed was large and comfortable! Location was a short walk to the central square, multiple supermarkets, market, and restaurants. The host was very friendly, and helpful with recommendations. She was very knowledgeable about Sucre and Bolivia in general. We were able to pay a good price for laundry too.

Very friendly and helpful stuff. We took a night bus to Sucre and were already able to check in at 6:30 a.m. The staff even upgraded us to a better room because it was already free and we could move in (without any extra charge). I think that was an exception because the room wasn't booked but it shows how friendly and helpful everyone at the hostel is. The common areas are large, breakfast and wifi is good. The rooms were also very clean. Overall an amazing stay.

The host Tania was so kind and helpful. Our bus arrived a lot earlier in the morning than anticipated and she sorted out a room for us to rest in. She provided advice on where to go and what to do in Sucre. She also knocked on our door to let us know when there were hummingbirds in the courtyard which was really sweet! The room was also so comfortable and spacious. Really nice.

It is a true 4 star hotel located less than a half block (USA) from the main square in a building erected during colonial times (I am assuming). You cannot beat location. The staff is extremely helpful and nice. Nicely decorated lobby and the rooms. You get what you see in the pictures.

WARNING / NIGHT CLUB HOTEL If you are here to sleep, avoid this hotel at all costs because they organise party from Wednesday to Saturday, until 3/4 am. And they will install tables just out front your room, making the access really hard.
