In downtown Sucre, Villa Antigua is set in a colonial 1860s mansion. It features restored red and white exteriors built around a central patio and herb garden, a sauna, gym, and free WiFi. Can I give it an 11 out of 10 ????? Lovely old building with great views from the rooftop. Decor was quite charming and handmade wood furniture was unique and stylish. Beds were firm, but not hard, and hot water flowed copiously. Staff was extremely helpful. Due to contested election, the streets were blocked from dawn til dark, so when we had to go to the airport, we had to leave super early. The management was kind enough to set up breakfast almost an hour early, just for us. Muy Sympatico !!!

Sucre is capital of Bolivia but suddenly is very calm place. People are nice and streets (except market area) are not crowded. City is quite small and centre has perfect construction. Need 10 minutes by walking to reach all interesting places. But most important is the history of that place... Worth to visit!
We were in Sucre for 4 days, it was lovely to have enough time to stop and watch the markets and see the town in its routine. Recommend hoping on a local bus for its route to see some of the back streets and hop off when something takes your fancy. Buses and Taxi's everywhere so you're never lost. Wonderful to see Indigenous tribes living here in Sucre, and their wonderful clothes and colours. Recommend taking the bus out "of town" to Mercado Campesino for a another view into the day to day of Sucre.
The Museums are very beautiful and will and interesting history each one, I need more time to looked all. My time was very short. The weather also was very nice as spring time, very clean nice architectonic colonial houses.
Beautiful architecture and great food. It was much better than I expected. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to do any of the tours, which would have been fantastic. I especially enjoyed the people of Sucre. I encourage everyone to visit this city for at least a day. I would have liked to stay longer. Try out some of the wines sold near the plaza! They're excellent.
Easy to get around by foot and by micro bus (managed to take bus #4 to el parque cretacico. Relatively safe city (with the usual precautions against petty theft). Highly recommend El Condor Cafe for vegetarian food and it’s just round the corner at Hostal Citadelle.
Walking around Sucre is easy. There was not a lot of traffic. The churches and museums were beautiful and interesting. Lots of great places to eat and drink. The Dinosaur Park was dull and disappointing - not worth the bother.
