Romantic Brazil
Located in the ‘Romantic Route’ region of southern Brazil, the picturesque town of Gramado is a mosaic of German, Italian, and Brazilian traditions. It is located in the Gaúcha Hills area, at an average of 850 metres above sea level, and is considered one of the most charming places in the Brazilian hinterland.
Portuguese immigrants arrived in the area in 1875, and they were soon joined by Germans and Italians.
