Offering an indoor hot tub, Glacier Mountain Lodge is located in Blue River and provides access to mountain bike, cross country ski and snowmobile trails. A scenic view of the mountains is enjoyed. It’s our fourth or fifth stay at this cozy hotel. It’s situated about halfway between Edmonton and the Okanagan and is a perfect spot for an overnight stay. Since two years ago they have made some renovations, so it is even better than it was. A bit expensive but I guess such are the current market rates.

Less than 10 minutes’ walk from Eleanor Lake and surrounded by the mountains and wildlife of Blue River, this British Columbia campground features cottages with running electricity and free Wi-Fi. We stayed in the deluxe cabin. It had everything we needed for our stay. Lovely horses to watch out our kitchen window and the bed was SO comfy.

Located 44 mi south from Valemount, the remote Bone Creek Wilderness Retreat offers 5 cabins with full kitchen facilities. Free WiFi is provided. Mountain views can be enjoyed. Their hospitality and how well they treated us. the fact that they built everything up with their own hands. The dogs are lovely.

If you are in Blue River and are looking for a place to stay I recommend Glacier Mountain Lodge and for a meal ‘the Grill’ located in Sandman Inn. Excellent home cooked meal, very reasonably priced. Will come again.

We liked the afternoon we spent at the cafe at River Safari Tours. Other than that there was little to do. It would be a good location if you were interested in river tours or took your own kayak or canoe.

It lies very comfy on the route.
It lies very comfy on the route. But far enough to have complete quietness. Cabin's interior is made with passion and love. Very clean. View from porch is stunning. We are city people but during our stay didn't switch on TV as we didn't feel need for it. That was most pleasant overnight stay on our 3000 km trip in Western Canada.

We unfortunately came in the middle if smoke from the fires and a rain deluge. Next rime we may explore a bit. The attached restaurant had excellent food but were very understaffed for an unusually crowded night.

I liked most that it was half way home and had a restaurant attached. Albeit the restaurant is not open on Tuesdays. I like least that it had no ice, no air conditioner and the pizza was the worst I have ever had.

Nice place but we left early and it was hazy because of the smoke in the air so couldn't see much of the scenery around. We had supper in a restaurant right next to our motel and it was very good.
