Super 8 by Wyndham Canmore provides accommodation in Canmore, conveniently located on the Bow Valley Trail off Trans-Canada Highway 1. The breakfast was ok. The breakfast that was normally offered could not be provided as a result of the pandemic. The breakfast that was provided was sufficient and came in handy for hiking. The kitchenette had a toaster, kettle and coffee maker along with a small fridge. We purchased our own food at a local grocery store and prepared our own breakfasts.

We used to really enjoy coming to Canmore for a couple of days getaway from Calgary to be close to the mountains and appreciate the small town relaxing atmosphere. We are not hikers but we really like doing the Policeman's Creek Boardwalk Trail loop right in town. There was a warning for cougar presence in the Canmore area when we went this time and it was a bit chilly so we did not stay outside for too long. We went to the Elevation Place and stayed there for an hour or so to watch the wall climbers, go to the library and the small art gallery. We wanted to walk a bit on the main street but were very surprised to see that paid parking is now required everywhere and seven days a week - on the street and even at the big Free parking area where we used to park. We could not see any pay stations so we decided to just leave and go back home. I searched online later on and apparently there are designated free parking areas.
One of the most beautiful places in the world! So many places to go! You definitely need to rent a car, as the distances are way too long. Its cold in winter but beautiful views. Canmore downtown is easy to get around by feet, but if you stay out of town, you will need a car to get there. And you can't miss Banff. There are a lot of restaurant options and they are not expensive.
What we love about canmore is there are lots of activities to do and downtown has many options for food and places to stay. We ate lunch at Quatro which serves an authentic Filipino quisine We had breakfast at GRAZE , I love their salad there. They serve good breakfast. It's easy to get around Canmore, we will definitely stay here again on our next vacation. ❤️
Beautiful scenery. Great walks. Easy routes to shopping. Great variety of dining/takeout options. ROAM bus to Banff. Easy access off Trans Canada Highway. Easy route to follow to/ from Calgary airport.
Beautiful country. Landscape is gorgeous. Very down to earth people. Quiet location, love the little cabins and wood burning fireplaces. Very private. A great place to stay with a significant other or small family.
Apart from its excellent accessibility the location is close to fabulous scenery. The weather was amazing which helps. Close to Banff and easily accessible Lake Louise etc. The Chinese restaurant is very good.
The hotel is located in such a nice scenic town of Canmore. Bathroom was spotlessly clean. Love the soap/shampoo dispensers. The full kitchen was awesome! We have all the cookware, dinnerware and utensils needed to make a full steak dinner! Room was spacious and fit 4 people well. I also love that they have laundry machines with tide pods available for guests. There is one spot of free parking for each unit. Checking was done all contactless via a code sent through email. Wi-Fi was great. The hot tub at the roof was a good bonus.
We were 3 of us and we received a suite with a sofa cum bed which was fairly comfortable. Overall facilities provided were good and there was underground parking for the car. There are amenities all around the hotel with supermarkets restaurants and shops. With just 20 mins from Banff Canmore provides many trails and lakes to look around. Also the Hotel was right in the centre nestled by mountains and the staff was friendly and helpful. We used their complimentary bicycles to ride around a lake which was a nice experience.
Reception staff are very friendly and welcoming. The hotel is spotlessly clean and nicely decorated/furnished. The best thing for us and one of the main reasons for booking was the pool/hot tub area - really lovely and spectacular views - a great place to unwind after a big day exploring! We loved Canmore itself and the hotel is in a great location for getting to the restaurants and shops. Also convenient for getting into the highway to Banff National Park.
Canmore
Overall Lady MacDonald is a nice B&B that is well appointed. The staff are very pleasant, the building is eloquent and in good repair, and the rooms are quiet with comfortable beds and clean bathrooms. Breakfast is good but somewhat limited with a set menu. Location is between the #1 highway and railroad tracks that run through town which is common for many hotels in Canmore. Restaurants are near by with a British style pub next door.
The property is quiet, in a great location and we sure enjoyed the hot tub after our long days hiking. We sure love having the kitchen, living room and bedrooms while away from home. So much better than a hotel. My biggest reason for booking is it was very reasonably priced! I’m really glad I did. The suite has everything you need. I will definitely stay again. It’s my new favourite in Canmore!
Canmore
This is a quaint little hotel, older, and its location is phenomenal. Unlike the bigger chain hotels of Canmore, from the Drake Hotel you can easily walk to the downtown area and, even better, the wildlife walk, just minutes away. The beds were comfortable and they were very helpful at the restaurant when we wanted to borrow cutlery for our take-out. The view from the room was lovely.
Canmore
We needed a place to rest our heads between days of hiking. Cute building, beautiful neighbourhood (but hard not to in Canmore). Front end staff Wilma was fantastic, very personable and made a great first impression upon checking in. Building amenities limited due to COVID, but didn’t deter from experience. Great quality and value, it’s a budget hotel that delivers!
Canmore
Staff found a place to store some items for us when we were in the back country for a few days. This was major. Canmore was on a boil water advisory so staff provided bottled water at no charge. Hotel provided free wine, cheese, crackers and grapes in the lounge on the weekend.
The room was spacious and well equipped. The pool and hot tub were very enjoyable. And the hotel was close to downtown Canmore and places to walk and hike. The view from the windows is gorgeous and the staff were friendly.
The whole trip went well, the weather was nice, the room and the hotel were very good. We enjoyed our time in Canmore. Just a great home away from home, love the Jacuzzi tub in the room. All around we enjoyed ourselves
Canmore
It had pretty standard hotel amenities: shampoo and stuff, tv etc. It was cheap. Bed wasn't bad. It is an older motel, but they're clearly taking steps to update it (new carpets and stuff).
right in the Center of Canmore so you can walk to get breakfast or go to the shops and then the trails around the river start right out of town so you can just walk from the hotel to the river.
it was clean and a great location, near restaurants and a grocery store. About 20-25 minute drive to the town of Banff. The restaurant in the hotel was very good and reasonably priced.
Canmore
The condos were very nice and had everything we needed. Also the fact that it is pet friendly is a bonus even though we didn't take advantage of it this time.
Canmore
One of the best Hostels during my Canada travels. Staff and travelers were all kind and nice. Had multiple hikes and pub nights with people I met there.
The location of the hotel was fantastic. The staff was very friendly and the underground parking was a bonus.
