Located in Churchill, in a building dating from 1980, IceBerg Inn has a shared lounge and guestrooms with free WiFi. The property provides a tour desk, and luggage storage for guests. It was conveniently located, the rooms were comfortable and clean. Bill and Angela were very helpful and friendly. I would recommend this Inn, just be aware there is no TV.

Located in Churchill in the Manitoba region, Sarah's dreamhouse B&B has accommodations with free WiFi and free private parking. The owner Taylor is a very kind host who picked me up from the airport and gave me ride to the starting point of buggy tour and even dropped me off at the train station for the return leg of my journey to Winnipeg. he and his wife really work hard to make this B&B a wonderful place to stay at Churchill. I really enjoyed my stay for two nights at this B&B!

Churchill Manitoba has been on our list for a few years and is a magical place to visit and encounter. The vast tundra surrounding this quaint town huddled up to the great Hudson Bay. Polar Bears were fantastic with multiple sightings over the week we visited. Thanks to Beyond Boreal Expeditions for amazing opportunities to be up close to these fascinating creatures! To get around the town you can walk easily to a variety of restaurants and there is enough variety to keep you happy. Be aware that during Bear Season October and November, the large Bear Viewing Companies take precedent over the times the restaurants are serving and food can take a bit longer to receive once ordered. Not only can you see Polar Bears in the wild during their migration to the northern ice, there is so much history, with The Prince of Wales Fort and Cape Merry Battery, the former Churchill Army Base and Missile Launch Facility, Miss Piggy Plane Wreck All which you need to take part in. We especially found the Churchill Northern Studies Centre very interesting. This is truly an Outstanding Destination to Visit!!
Great White Bear tour excellent! Inn owner, town and area tour very informative. Everything I wanted to see within walking distance. Tundra Grill excellent food, reasonably priced. Museum of Inuit carvings and tools, etc. showed lots of history. Excellent gift shop!
We stayed in Churchill for 3 days and 2 nights. It was the perfect amount of time. We got done everything we wanted to do! We loved our trip. Kayaking with the beluga whales was one of the best experiences I’ve ever had. Once in a life time trip!
Beautiful landscape but for safety not allowed to walk out of town due to bears. End of August too late for good whale watching but still able to see some . Need very warm windproof clothes and shoes. Bus ride best way to see bears out of town at this time of year. Other than tours not a lot else to do so don’t expect anything and bring a book!
We spent 3 days in Churchill, late in the Beluga Whale season. We did not see any polar bears (not for lack of trying). We did not go on the tundra tour as our focus were the whales- which we saw plentiful of. The museum is a must see- it is free and contains history and artifacts of the area- plan a good few hours to see everything. We recommend trying the local Elk and Artic Char dishes and visiting all the local restaurants- the Lazy Bear, Tundra (our favourite) Are great dinner spots. the Seaport and Dancing Bear for lunch are must dos. Take some time to checkout the Trading post for more history, art, gifts and information on the locals- they make mukluks on premise and I am beyond pleased with the pair they custom made for me! The locals were amazing! Everyone friendly and willing to help us with directions or provide information. The locals are also extremely proud of their town and the murals throughout. I felt 100% safe the whole time we were in and around Churchill. We did the Fort Prince of Whales tour with the Beluga watching via boat. We spent an afternoon Kayaking with the Belugas and on day 1 we took a land tour of Churchill and surrounding area. . Tour companies used were Sea North Adventures and North Star Tours. We stayed at the Dream House B&B. Upon research - I booked everything myself and both tour companies used were fabulous and answered all my questions. 3 days/2 nights was long enough to do and see everything to feel like we experienced Churchill. If taking the train - they have discount Tuesdays - great time to book and save some money. Good on VIA Tail was amazing as were all the employees. Do take a pillow and blanket if riding the economy section and get off to experience the little stations along the way.
Loved the town and the people I met. The tour operates go out of their way to ensure you have a good time. The beluga whale watching is out of this world. We saw polar bears in August. The Eskimo museum is amazing and has fabulous souvenirs. The food at Lazy Bear, The Tundra Inn and Seaport Hotel is very good. No problems getting something gluten free. Go visit.
My sister and I went to Churchill to experience the migration of the Belugas. We absolutely loved our experience!!! Our hotel owner was absolutely amazing, couldn't have asked for a better host :) I would highly recommend Iceberg Inn to anyone wanting to visit and explore the Churchill area.
