Located on Ruth Lake, this 37 acre Forest Grove property offers many on site activities including fishing, boating and hiking. Ruth Lake Provincial Park is 3.7 mi away. The cabin we stayed in was clean and comfortable, and France made us feel extra comfortable with the additional work and efforts made to keep us safe during the covid 19 time period. Owners Daryl and France are extremely friendly and personable. The property is beautiful with active deer on property and beautiful views of the lake to be seen in abundance. The lake was gorgeous and the boat we rented was a great addition to our stay. The kids loved playing along the beach along the lake and fishing in the lake. Was quiet and the trails we explored led us to many Saskatoon berries to nibble on.
Staff were friendly and knowledgeable about the area to recommend nearby restaurants and places to see. Very clean and had great views over the golf course. Very much a family place. Kids had fun running around to the golf course and back to the room or volleyball court area. My husband joined in quickly and easily to play a few rounds of golf with others who were very welcoming to him. The kids joined him on the cart for a few holes, which was nice for them to have some fun out there too.
sadly the resort is getting run down. While the beds were comfortable, the shower did not work, no fridge in room,, the pool was not filled (end of June) the advertised continental breakfast is modest at best, The staff though are very friendly. If you are looking for upscale resort style accommodation, this is not the place to be. If you are looking for an economy motel room then it would be adequate for a 1 night stay.
Just stayed overnight so didn’t get the opportunity to enjoy pool or spa facilities. Room was very comfortable. Peaceful. Had dinner at Vidas at the 108 Heritage site. Excellent food. Enjoyed a 2 hour horseback ride at the 108 ranch. Mosquitoes were bad but to be expected at this time of year. All in all, it was a great little getaway!
So beautiful to wake up to the gorgeous scenery of the lakes and forests and golf course. We were just a very quick overnight, but started our day with a hike on the lake trails. Just what we needed to get back in the car for more travelling. I have stayed here before too. It's wonderful to get more time there!! The restaurant was gone as it burnt down. That was a bit disappointing as that was a lovely experience in the past. Now, there is a quick help yourself breakfast, which still worked fine.
