Featuring a full-service restaurant, this Silver Star lodge is located on the slopes and features a guest terrace. Free WiFi is offered in all rooms. Summit Chair Elevator is only 2 minutes' walk... We love the bulldog, it’s super dog friendly and the staff are great. The hotel is so central, easy to just run in and out.
Featuring a full kitchen, this suite includes a flat-screen TV and a living room seating area where you can relax. A village shuttle is available right outside of the main entrance. Excellent location, cozy homely, breathtaking view and of course wonderful hosts who quickly respond to any requests and are always ready to meet your wishes.
Silver Star and its neighboring Sovereign Lake XC ski areas are some of the best places in North America to cross country ski. The food choices on the mountain are not great. But if one looks hard enough one may be able to get a quality and healthy meal at a local restaurant.
Still shoulder season so things were just starting to get going. Nordic ski trails were really nicely groomed. Quiet in town which I liked. Beautiful to be in snow again. So fun to get some early season loops in.
Lovely spring skiing, not busy on either the lifts or runs. Enough variety of terrain to suit the whole family for a few days and small enough to let everyone go off and meet up at various points. Lots of Nordic skiing trails too So many activities to do including; massive tubing run, mini snowmobiles for 6-12 years, skating, bowling, fat biking Enough restaurants with varied menus to cater for most tastes and all walkable so no need for a designated driver I’ll definately be back
Silver Star Resort has just the right combination of optional activities, all us walkable, not overwhelmingly large and fancy (ie, Whistler/Blackcomb). Unpretentious. All service people are extremely friendly and helpful.
Silver Star is a quaint mountain. It is smaller than Big White and Whistler but it really has its own unique charm. Silver Star has a close knit and friendly community which is calming compared to more commercialized locations. The mountain is large enough and has a diverse range of runs to suit most skiers/snowboarders and the chairs are fast and in good condition especially with the new addition of the gondola. You can also ski to almost any location from the top of the mountain making getting home easy a the end of the day. Products and services are far cheaper than other resorts that I have been to which was a nice surprise. I recommend Silver Star to families and even serious skiers/snowboarders. I can see myself going back there in the future.
Really enjoyed the mountain and the terrain is great. The problem was lack of new snow during our visit. 2 days of groomers was enough. Really needed another 1-2 feet of snow to fully enjoy the diamond and double diamond runs.
