A couple of great restuarants. Quattro and HY's Steak House A good choice of cheaper eating close by, such as American Bar, across the road With the maps supplied, easy to get around Will avoid the night clubs (although I am older)
We were there on Boxing Day and weren't sure what to expect in terms of crowds. The gondola line-up was busy (as always) but other than that we had more than enough space on the mountain and in the village. It never felt crowded. And the views were breathtaking with all of the lights and fresh snow. A truly magical place to be around the holidays!
Best restaurant good price: breakfast legs diamond ( very delicious, great menu and healthy for children great price) dinner at IL Caminetto ( Italian four course menu at $39 per person but great portions and sooo good. Whistler is amazing, if you have a child who doesn’t ski or any snow sports make sure the hotel has pool and heated to entertain since with Covid there is nothing else for a toddler to do. Many activities you will not be able to use stroller so bring hiking chairs or carry baby ergo.
It was a great stay. Two bathroom and two jet tub were so great 😄 since COVID situation, even raining outside, we could enjoyed inside room in the hot tub. Two fireplaces and the great space for kitchen and dining etc: Only the garbage truck came close to the room window in one morning was a bit noisy. But the rest was wonderful!!
We have been to Whistler approx five times before. This holiday we ventured out and did the highly recommended Peak to Peak. (Pricey but worth it, esp. during the summer when the views were amazing.) We (five adults and a child) also visited the Train Wreck about 9 kms south of the Village. We also walked the easy and beautiful Lost Lake and Green Lake loops. Visited the fabulous Audain Art Gallery. (Booked ahead.) We had dinner at the resort each of our five nights there but lunched one day at Longhorn's. (Recommended: Cobb Salad and Chicken/Mango wrap.) And stopped for a beer and tasty calamari at the Brewhouse during happy hour. Whistler is quite walkable but be mindful of the hike up from the village to the Benchlands where we stayed.
Had kitchen accommodations but did not have a dish towel , paper towels, anything to cover food! All it had was dishes but nothing else! I don’t usually travel with plastic wrap or paper towels in my back pocket! The staff vat check in were rude and gave the wrong information! We almost didn’t stay! We were so upset!
Whistler
We stayed in Studio 28 and it was exactly as shown in photos. The bed was really comfortable. Well equipped kitchen and spare set of towels in bathroom. The room was very warm and we couldn’t work out how to turn heating off but we just used the fans provided and it was fine. Units are across road from village square so everything is really close to walk to. Great wifi too. The whole complex is also very quiet.
Whistler
Location was just a short walk from Blackcomb and the bus stops virtually out the front. Apartment had everything you need, and was comfortable though a little dated. In saying that, it was spotlessly clean and we would certainly choose to stay here again.
Whistler
Spacious and extremely clean. Very serene yet very central! This is the perfect place for a family with kids! The kitchen is fully stocked and the beds are very comfortable. The hot tub is a must have - definitely coming back!
