There was a problem with the heating system in our room, but the staff responded immediately and moved us to another room. Very professional and helpful!

close to trams and walking distance (approx 1km) from Banhoff Basel SBB (using the covered bicycle lane passing through University of Basel Faculty of Economics. Room was very clean, and we were given 2 opposite rooms (we were 2 families checking in all in all), separated by a separate door from other rooms, which was great as we had kids and the sound of our kids playing were contained at our end. We were given Basel City Cards at checkin which provided us with free transport around the city for the entire duration of our stay (it also provided discounted prices to museums). We used this to use the Airport Bus from Banhoff SBB which was less than a 20min drive to the departures area of the airport. Also had the facility of early online checkin and express checkout

I had a great stay at Basel Hotel. The hotel was modern, exceptionally clean, and had everything I needed for a comfortable stay. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful. Everything went smoothly, and I honestly have no drawbacks to mention. I would happily stay here again.

Great location, walking distance to so much of Basel and plenty of public transport options too! The staff were really helpful and the room was spotless. Couldn't recommend more for a stay in Basel.

The rooms are in a quiet location with birds chirping and face a green inner courtyard, although the hotel is located on the noisy square at the entrance to Basel's train station. The cleanliness is absolutely perfect. The welcoming staff responds to every request and always with a smile and a pleasant, relaxed atmosphere. The Basel card is great. The breakfast is of a high standard with an emphasis on fresh, local and healthy food Variety and very tasty. Thank you very much.

Fantastic location right outside train station and bus stop to airport and a short walk to main centre of Basel. Lovely comfortable hotel with sweeping stairwell and lots of history. Sweets, water and fruit available 24/7 in reception area. Amazing breakfast.Lots of variety.The crusty bread was to die for. Bedroom was roomy, warm and comfortable with a lovely big bath. A small fridge and water included. Staff really helpful..they found me an electric kettle to make a proper (Irish) cup of tea. We got a 1pm checkout - a huge bonus and they offered to store our luggage for few hours between check out and airport bus departure time. Couldn't have asked for anything more.

The staff were very polite and efficient. The rooms were very comfortable and clean. We really enjoyed our time at Novotel Basel.

The receptionist Stephanie was incredibly kind and supportive during our check-in explaining to us about the city and the hotel and the Christmas special options at the hotel restaurant (breakfast, brunch, etc) I can only thank the team and specially Stephanie for making our stay special

Very Comfortable beds and pillows Beautifully decorated and modern Balcony Espresso machine , Thea facilities with excellent tea and fruits in the same floor we stay for free . There was space in the room due to the thinking behind the decor !

Lovely staff, great room, terrific breckfast. Front desk staff were simply excellent with help, guidance and suggestions.

Great location just next to central station, contactless check-in was great plus the Basel tourist card that was included. Apartment was nice and tidy.

Location, atmosphere and the staff was brilliant. Special thanks to Caroline who made the first impression pleasant and we felt like coming home. And Ricardo always took care of our needs while having breakfast. Bath tube was appreciated. I am fully satisfied.
