The room had a stunning view of the mountains, a wonderfully comfortable and tall bed, it was all nice and tidy, with a bit of luxury. The breakfast was delicious, with all fresh and high quality products. The staff was super friendly and helpful. The service to rent bathrobes and towels is only 10Fr at the hotel, cheaper than in the local thermal baths - a nice bargain. They have a selection of sizes of bathrobes! Also, you can buy tickets to all major thermal baths of the Leukerbad town at a good discount at the reception! The town is small, so it's walking distance everywhere. For us, it was just a few minutes of walking to Leukerbad thermal baths.

Our experience at the Waldhaus in Leukerbad was amazing. The hotel is situated on a beautiful street, yet very very close to the center and the thermal spas. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay special, surprising us with an upgrade to a beautiful balcony room. The breakfast was delightful, and we highly recommend having dinner and lunch at their restaurant - the food was amazing and the service so kind and familiar. We are already looking forward to our next visit and cannot recommend the Waldhaus enough to others.

In an older building, the hotel has a homely feel, with welcoming owners, who are friendly and helpful. The rooms are fitted out well and have plenty of space. The breakfast is very good, with a choice of breads, croissants, cereals etc. And the location is only a short walk from the Busterminal.

The moment you you sleep here, you understand what being alone in The Universe means. The place is quiet, minimalist, the view from each Mazot is like nothing i ve see before:stunning. Still, there are some things you should know: 1.The day of check in you are sent a what s up message with all the indications you need. In winter, for example the place is accesable only by foot, so take in consideration 40 minutes from Aminona, or 1 hour from Violettes. I m a really slow Walker,so maybe for you is faster. Aminona lies at 1600 m, and Colombire at 1810m, so it s uphill.In summer, from April to November there is a free bus each 30 minutes. In Crans Montana all busses are free.... 2.Breakfast is included, Lunch and dinner must be booked in advance. The restaurant is up from the Mazots, and they serve really good food and good wines. My favorite plate was '' Polenta Montagnard". A source of mountain water lies in The middle of the 6 chalets. 3.The view is amazing,especially in The morning, still, to enjoy this view one or two days are not enough, I recommend a journey(a stay) of 4minimum nights, so you really understand something. 4.Last thing:you really have to be used to being alone, as up there there is nothing and nobody to disturb your silence. My favorite Mazot was Aminona, as it is the recent one build , but next Time I know and i will book this one. 5.So, around Colombire there are only 4 or 5 possibilities to eat, and have a drink, as far as I know:Cave du Scex, Plumachit(but you risk to go there for nothing, as the place is usually CLOSED, Cabane de la Tieche, and '' La vache noire'', which is really far, but the effort is worth it, as they serve really good plates. 6.Acces with trolley in winter is impossible, so take in consideration a light back pack.

Wow! Where to start?! This is an incredibly warm welcomed and serviced hotel. I had stayed in a much more expensive hotel one minute away the previous night and was shocked at the difference of quality. Grichting surpassed all my expectations. The staff was amazing, the food in the restaurant was delicious (the menu was varied and interesting). The restaurant itself was cozy, very nicely decorated, clean and the staff/kitchen was able to handle special requests. The hotel room was beautiful, clean, spacious, and had an amazing view! Comfortable bed and a TV that actually worked like a TV should. Tea/coffee facilities were a delight, there was even a bottle opener in the room with a well-stocked minibar. Plenty of nice little things added! Even the hair dryer was better than in most hotels. See for yourself. The 24 hour pool and sauna were great, offering a moment of indulgence whenever you desire. Massages can be booked, unfortunately I did not have time to try that out.
