The host was so kind already with a warm welcome. The rooms, toilets, shower, everywhere was clean. I enjoyed a lot the old furnitures in the building; the building itself is almost 900 years old. Also, I was very lucky to have a room with a lake view that I could get up with an amazing view from the bed. They have amazing terrasse in multiple layers - highest layer with tables and chairs for dining having a big tree in the middle (breakfast there with the lake view was just great), then they had nice chill lounge couches with parasol looks like a perfect place for apéro, middle layer for chilling with green grass, and the lowest layer with direct access to the lake where you can chill with the sun beds and parasols. It was so amazing! It felt like a hidden gem that we found like serendipity. Mind that they can host a very limited number of guests, so if you find it available, please don't miss this lucky chance! I loved that place also because I could feel that the hosts were putting their heart into their hotel. I will definintely come back!

The view from the hotel rooms and from the restaurant was amazing. The service was great and the food at the restaurant both breakfast and dinner was fresh and delicious. European standards and Swiss specialties, something for everyone. The hotel location was excellent, we were able to access many beautiful hiking trails by foot.

On my way from Zurich to Davos, I planned a stop-over in...

On my way from Zurich to Davos, I planned a stop-over in Glarnerland, as I heard about the region but have never been there before. As I was traveling by car, I especially liked that the parking spot is right in front of the apartment entrance. I highly appreciated the self-check-in option as I arrived quite late. The studio is looking exactly like the photos, was super-clean, cozy and offers a marvelous view of the Alps. As a design lover, there is a lot to discover in the studio. A very tasteful mix of new and vintage pieces. The next day, before heading to Davos, I made a short little trip to Lake Kloental, a lake surrounded by imposing mountains. Would love to come back someday, maybe in summer as well, the garden looks like a dream, would love to spend some time there.
