Location. It is great. I visited in beginning of October and it was easy to get there by public transport during that time (it might be different when snow covers the mountain pass). Tickets for some of the local cable cars were included and for some other ones I got a discount (I've used free cable cars only as I've stayed for one day and there was only that much I could visit). I would really encourage to walk around the lake that is down from the hotel as it is beautiful and the view from the dam is also great! Breakfast was very nice as well. One thing to keep in mind - hotel is high up (1900-2000 meters) and if you are not used to mountain hotels, you might have worse sleep quality, not because of the beds or something, but because air is thinner up there and your body need to adjust to that.

This is a very special place to stay and I highly recommend it. Probably one of the best places I have ever stayed at. The staff were all so friendly and helpful. The rooms are beautiful and (needless to say) the views are stunning. I particularly liked the sauna space which you book out for exclusive use, which was so relaxing. The food was fantastic - we went for the local dishes (including a locally-made aperitif) and we were so impressed, from beginning to end. Having breakfast outside was another bonus (and the breakfast buffet choices are fantastic). What an exceptional place. Can't wait to go back!

We enjoyed our stay at the Swiss Lodge Joopi, we found the staff very friendly and welcoming, we never had an evening meal in their restaurant as we had eaten before we arrived however looking at the amount of people in the restaurant and the lovely smells coming from the dining room one could imagine the food being good. The young waiter was very helpful during our stay and we would like to pass on our thanks. There was Free parking facilities at the hotel which was 1st come 1st served bases and cannot be pre booked. The hotel is off the main road tucked away down a little stream close to the al train line which we never heard.

Came to do some cycling in the area, and needed a place to stay for a few nights. Hotel Nufenen was ideally located for this, at the foot of the Furka, Grimsel, and Nufenen Pass climbs, with terrific scenery and a water fountain just outside. The hosts were very kind and welcoming, I was able to dine here in the evenings and there was plenty on offer for breakfast. The room had a very cosy alpine feel to it, so I was very happy! Also had secure storage for bikes!

Very handy location if you are traveling on this part of Switzerland, whether by car or by train (station at walking distance from the hotel). Breakfast is great. Rooms are clean and in excellent working condition. Staff are very friendly and speak several languages. It is a friendly, useful stop for motorbikers. Good meal choices for dinner. Not the first time we stayed here before.

Great family run hotel. Very friendly and attentive staff. Showed us the dry room immediately for our wet clothes and let us charge and store the ebikes in the garage.
