Located on the shores of Risopatron Lake, El Pangue Lodge offers accommodations in Puerto Puyuguapi. Free WiFi access is available. Here guests will find rooms and self-catering bungalows. This was truly the most beautiful oasis. Lovely cabins in a tranquil spot amongst the mountains. The attention to detail was excellent and everything done with such style and professionalism. The staff were excellent, cuisine 5 stars and a great hot tub to chill in too. An unexpected oasis and definitely worth a visit
Located in Puerto Puyuhuapi, 3.4 miles from Queulat National Park, hostal Robinson has accommodations with a shared lounge, free private parking, a garden and a terrace. The place is so comfortable and clean. The bed was wonderful after a hard day bike riding. Robinson and his wife Maria bent over backwards for me and helped me get a bus ticket out. They were the most wonderful people
Located in Puerto Puyuhuapi, 3.2 miles from Queulat National Park, Hostal y Cabañas Ventisquero has accommodations with a shared lounge and free private parking. The hosts were so friendly and welcoming. I felt right at home. It was clean, comfortable and had everything I needed. I arrived late and they welcomed me with tea and food and they made a great breakfast in the morning. Highly recommend!
Located in Puerto Puyuhuapi, Cabana Senderos Puyuhuapi offers accommodations with a patio or a terrace, free WiFi and flat-screen TV, as well as a restaurant and a garden. Very nice, spacious and well equipped house. The owners are great, very welcoming and helpful. The breakfast is excellent. We really enjoyed our stay.
We stayed at a wonderful hotel 'Passada Queulat' between the Bosque Encantardo and the Colgante glacier south of Puyuhuapi. Both the Bosque and the National Park and hanging glacier are musts to visit. Both provide well maintained walks through fantastic woodlands with stunning views including beautiful rivers, with exciting crossings and the glacier itself of course. It is also worth visiting the small towns of Puerto Cisnes, Puyuhuapi and La Junta. All 3 have a variety of lunch and supper venues. We only tried lunch at both Puerto Cisnes (with beautiful views over the waters) and at a lovely new panaderia in La Junta. Warning the 'sandwiches' are the size of a large dinner plate, 1 between 2 is probably best! The supper at Passada Queulat was lovely no need to eat out in the evening. The roads in the area are a bit of a challenge at the moment with big areas of improvement taking place between Puerto Cisnes and Puyuhuapi. The road closures are well advertised and easy to plan around so shouldn't cause any issues. North of Queulat to Puyuhuapi There are temporary closures but these are well managed with short delays 10 to 20 minutes at most. A 4x4 car is best on the roads although sections here are now being paved. This is a truly lovely area.
