Great location, 5 minute walk to the best beach in the island. The hotel owner, his family and the staff are super friendly and kind. They let me check in early and check out late to accommodate my flight times. Breakfast was simple but all that I needed. Lots of cute animals around the property. Rooms have a really nice balcony with a hammock!

We had a fantastic time at Monasterio del Viento! It exceeded our expectations, especially since this was our first time visiting Providencia, and we weren’t sure how the island had recovered from the 2020 hurricane. The hotel is beautifully decorated with great attention to detail, creating a tranquil and luxurious retreat. Alvaro, Melie, and the two ladies who cooked were all amazing—so welcoming and attentive. We still think about the delicious ceviche we had for lunch! We deeply appreciate all the effort put into making Monasterio del Viento such a luxurious and well-run option on Providencia—it truly shows. Herbert was incredibly easy to communicate with and arranged everything we needed seamlessly. The level of service was truly five-star, and we’ve already told many friends that if they ever visit Providencia, Monasterio del Viento is the only place to consider!

Our large room was nice and clean, and we had access to a kitchen (that had free coffee and filtered water) with a small balcony. We were pleasantly surprised that the property also had a small bar, where we had an opportunity to chat with locals and the owners and their family. The location was perfect, right on the water and a short walk across a bridge to the main town on Providencia. Meanwhile, the property itself was right by the water and very quiet and relaxing, being on the car-free island of Santa Catalina. We took advantage of free kayaks provided by the property to paddle around Santa Catalina and enjoy the beautiful views. It was also a quick hike to a very nice beach. What truly made our stay special was the kindness and attentiveness of our hosts, especially Xavier. We greatly enjoyed our conversations with you and hope to return one day. Thanks so much for enriching our time on Providencia! This was a truly authentic island experience.

Winston is a fantastic host! The glamping experience is well worth it, for anyone able to grab a stay in the often-booked room. For those who cannot, staying in the main facilities on the property are just as fantastic. The views are breathtaking. The breakfast is delicious and filling. Slow down, adjust to the island and you just might find what we discovered at Posada Aleeny: Sincere hospitality and new friends. A longer stay will work better for you, as you recall why you travel: to be immersed in a new culture and environment. If you are ready, you will find no better guides than Dany and Micheli, hosts with hearts wide enough to welcome those willing to explore. Exceptional local food is one pathway they will lead you into their world with; spot on local advice and contacts will be another. Keeping in mind that the welcome they are providing is happening at the far edge of services and infrastructure in an area that was devistated by hurricane just a few years ago will sharpen your appreciation of just how much Dany, Micheli and their extended families are doing to share their community and lives with you. The facilities, location and value were exactly what we were hoping for and matched our expectations perfectly.

Jorge and Tisha were very, very helpful in booking this stay. They communicate very well, offer assistance with connections to transportation and restaurants, and they care about your experience. My now fiancee and I were there to celebrate her birthday! Tisha and Jorge assisted me in decorations and dinner reservations, cake and making it a loving and wonderful moment of engagement.
