Located in Montezuma, a few steps from Montezuma Beach, El Pargo Feliz provides accommodations with a restaurant, free private parking, a garden and a terrace. Guests can enjoy sea views. I‘ve booked the stay spontaneous. I‘ve got a room upstairs with a hammock in front. (I loved the hammock! 😍) You can see to the ocean and there is a good restaurant at the hotel as well. I could stay longer in my room because the hotel wasn‘t fully booked. And even when my transfer didn‘t show up the host offered me to stay and cared for me. I‘m so happy that I‘ve met her and her son. Thank you for everything.

This hotel is located in the Nicoya Peninsula and 10 minutes’ drive from Cabo Blanco Nature Reserve. Everything was fantastic! The location, the staff, the restaurant. Everything was great! Also—to people that complained about hot water—the showers were great! There is a box right over the shower that lets you increase the temperature. also—the pool is a short walk away on the beach like 7 minutes. And it is fantastic! I highly recommend this hotel!

Stayed for 2 nights. Nice little town built at the beach but surrounded in forest. Waterfalls amazing. I think it is worth stopping by for a day trip maybe you don't have to stay the night but handy stop over. Has a supermarket and some nice restaurants
Montezuma was a very tranquil and relaxing place; everything you need is there as far as beautiful beaches and great hiking, restaurants/sodas and a grocery store. Locals were very friendly and helpful! There was no ATM in the town, so happy I had taken cash with me. Remember to take your hammock with you, or buy one there. SO many places to just "hang" out for the day/evening. Chico's was primed with the music and dancing in the evenings. I made the mistake of thinking I would be able to rent an ATV, however, during Semana Santa, it was busy and none were available.
Montezuma is nice coastal town on the Nicoya Peninsula and has a little Super Market, restaurants, vendors, bars, resorts and some great ice cream. You really don't have to travel outside of Montezuma for anything that you may need. No ATM at the moment so have your Colones before you go or you can take a short bus ride up to Cobano where they can exchange your currency.
Love Frangipani and Montezuma. Have visited here 5 times over the years and are greeted like old friends every time here. Rooms, site and pool are excellent and world class views. Go out to the pool at night and see the stars reflected on the surface. I discovered that the light of a single firefly reflects as brightly as the largest star!!! And Lord willing we will be back.
We stayed for eight days and had plenty of time to see most things in the area: Capo Blanco, the waterfalls, snorkelling in Tortuga etc. An excellent base, the town is well set up for catering for tourists yet it doesn’t feel too spoilt by it.
After a long bumpy trip from tamarindo I was pleased Montezuma was so nice. Very small town and very pretty beach. Lots of nice cafes and restaurants crammed into this small spot. Waterfall and trails were a nice half day out, found Montezuma a nice swimming beach. Would recommend this lovely quiet place.
Montezuma
Everything. The chalets are beautiful, clean and comfortable. Laura, one of the owners very kindly picked us up from Montezuma, we hadn’t realised L&L was about 3kms away uphill and partly gravel road. She also dropped us off after our stay. This was absolutely the best place we stayed, well equipped kitchen, some bread, milk, butter and jam was in the fridge. Howler monkeys and iguanas all around and a refreshing swimming pool. We didn’t want to leave!
Montezuma
Great welcome. Nice location close to Montezuma but not in the city (better to be outside if you have a car). There is a new owner of Casacolores since few weeks she is making great changes to the casitas. We had the blue casita very confortable well equipped. Bed was very confortable and clean. The pool was really nice. the new owner just received the credit card machine so we were able to pay with credit card.
Montezuma
The location is exceptionally beautiful….set amidst the jungle on top of a hill overlooking Montezuma and the ocean. We enjoyed the wildlife as we sat on our private balcony. We rented a car, so I’m just a few minutes we were down by the beach. Otherwise it would have been a challenging walk. Also, the staff were very friendly and and helpful and the facilities were clean and comfortable. We were sad to leave.
The property was beautiful, the rooms clean and comfortable and the location is right in the centre of Montezuma. We also had fantastic service as we had to check-in late night because we had a terrible apartment we had to get out the same night and they helped us get everything ready for the baby to sleep right away and then take care of the payment later. Fantastic really!
This is an excellent property, you are outside of Montezuma, which in my opinion is good, and it is as beautiful as the pictures portray it. The staff, Larissa, Farina and Paula are delightful and the owner, Marco, is a wonderful chef. We had dinner there two nights and enjoyed both meals. After a day in the trails or at the beach, the pool is the best.
A bit of trek from Montezuma centre but worth the hustle but the super host will give you one free daily ride into town! Amazing location with a spacious garden, comfortable beds, breakfast provided every morning and access to the kitchen. Bonus: Start off the day with monkeys hanging out in the morning

Montezuma
The location is a nice oasis from the core of Montezuma. We didn’t fancy the town much but truly enjoyed staying at Horizontes. The pool is amazing, the breakfast is yummy and the staff paid the perfect amount of care to the guests. Thank you for a lovely stay!
Friendly helpful staff. Very close to restaurants, waterfall, nice beaches. Good restaurant in hotel. We had access to the sister hotel Ylang-ylang. This is a 15 minute walk away and has a swimming pool.
Everything. It felt like we fell into paradise. We traveled all around costa rica with our kids for a month and stayed in 11 different hotels. The by far was our favorite .
Just a beautiful property! Absolutely LOVED everything about this hotel. Staff is amazing as well!! Highly recommend!!
