We loved our stay at the Hotel Sonne. You can hardly find a better location in Rothenburg. It's in the center of everything, yet the room was very quiet. The bed was comfy, bathroom perfectly clean. Complimentary water, fruit, and an electric kettle with coffee are provided in the room. However, it’s the staff who makes this hotel so special. Everyone is super kind, attentive and friendly, always smiling. We were really impressed by the variety of choices for breakfast. Everything was absolutely delicious! We would definitely stay here again if we come back to Rothenburg.

We reserved two rooms. Each room had a different atmosphere with different view, which we enjoyed ourselves. The bedroom and living room were separated, and the bathroom was spacious enough for us to relax. The breakfast services were very good as well and we had a great time. Thank you for everything!

This is perhaps the most beautiful hotel I have ever stayed in. The interior paid homage to its rich history and classical origins, while the rooms were gorgeously furnished with up-to-date style and convenience. While walking around the ground floor rooms I almost felt like I was walking through a museum. If there is anything that exceeded what I have mentioned thus far - it would be the hotel staff. They were kind, patient, and helpful with any questions I had. To top it off, since I traveled a bit “off season” the price was immensely reasonable. I would have happily paid 2-3 times as much for this wonderful experience. And of course, you just walk out the front entrance and you are in Rothenburg on der Tauber. It doesn’t get any better than that.
