Our stay at the hotel was absolutely wonderful. The staff were incredibly friendly, attentive, and always ready to help with anything we needed. The hotel itself was very pleasant and spotless, creating a truly comfortable atmosphere. The breakfast was excellent and offered a great variety of options. Hotel Maximilian is the best hotel ever. We traveled a lot but this is the no 1 for us. I love everything here. The rooms are great, the bathrooms...large, clean. I feel like home. I remember one night we came from a long driving way, tired, it was cold outside, and after a few minutes we entered the room, a lady came and asked us if we needed more towels or water to drink. It was the maximum sign of care that we received from a hotel ever.

Its very convenient, there is a supermarket behind the hotel, a furniture store (wish we could bring back everything), an asian supermarket in front and a kebab doner that opens late until late at night. Also, the tram stop is just in-front of the building. Easy to park. And friendly reception

Very nice town.

Very nice town. Much more clean, open, and quiet than Munich. A handful of local museums, nature spots, and historical building would be enough for 6-7 casual days, or 4 fast-paced ones. Tram system is very convenient to get around. Downsides - lots of smokers, most places are closed Sunday.

The whole city is beautiful with so much history!

The whole city is beautiful with so much history! We really loved the Rathaus square and the fountains and the Fuggerei annd the Dom. Our Hotel Ost am Ko was in the perfect location for exploring and was a real gem of a hotel! Highly recommend visiting Augsburg- has so much to see and experience. Momo’s in the Bahnhofstraße Strasse has the best Doner I have ever had!

The history available through the museums, historic...

The history available through the museums, historic buildings, and art galleries is extraordinary. The confectionary shops add a wonderful addition to a cup of coffee. Beers from 3X different breweries made this a good tasting experience.

Augsburg has got a lot of beautiful places within: we especially liked the old town, visited the Fugger social living estate, the Rathausplatz at the weekend for sitting out in the sunshine, a piano is located outside the cathedral where anyone can play... there are a lot of other things to see and do which we didn't

Augsburg is a very charming city with lots of points of interest and restaurants and caffee's. Don't miss the Rathausplatz, Fuggerei, Maximilianstrasse, Koenigplatz and old city walls. For good Bavarian/Schwaebische Food I recommend Restaurant unter dem Bogen on Annastrasse. People watching and relaxing Caffee Eber am Rathausplatx. Take one of the city tours, organized by the city and raasonably priced. Augsburgs Strassenbahn System makes it easy to get around, buy a "Streifenkarte". Walk around in the Altstadt and around the "Kahnfahrt" and the old city walls- it is just beautiful.

So many sights worth seeing.

So many sights worth seeing. Top is the Fuggerei, allow several hours to explore this ground breaking social housing from the 1500's. The Dom is also worth visiting as is taking the tram to the Red Tower and Water towers. Wander around the central area and enjoy a beer or coffee at one of the many coffee houses or beer taverns.

The staff at Ibis were absolutely fantastic. They did not hesitate once when we asked for help, from receiving our food deliveries, to giving advice on where to eat or how to get around. Farid and Rainer specifically, we cannot sing their praises enough. The location is also just fantastic, a 5 minute walk from the main station, and a tram just outside the hotel, allowed us to get around very easily. Thanks to all for the stay and we'll definitely be back soon!

Excellent breakfast - fresh produce and great hot/cold dishes with wide variety to suit all tastes Very efficient/friendly staff, pleasant ambience, very clean and comfortable surroundings. Dinner menu quite small but tasty, well presented dishes, served by very efficient and friendly personnel. Room very clean and modern with good facilities. Very good private parking facilities and hotel in an easily accessible location for those travelling by car.

The location can't be more in the centre of the old town, all main sightseeing and shopping areas very close. The hotel room was spacious, the beds are comfortable. Only the view was directly to the car parking house, but it didn't matter as we didn't intend to sit at the window anyway. The breakfast is excellent and the staff is very helpful. Really enjoyed the stay at Maximilian's!
