Everything was great, lovely hosts were so welcoming & helpful, using google translate to communicate as we don’t speak German. Our host even carried our heavy suitcases upstairs 2 flights to our spacious room with a view. Due to our train departure next morning, they even prepared breakfast early for us, a lovely spread indeed! Wish we could have stayed longer, Bacharach is so beautiful & people very friendly.

Breakfast, Dinner were fabulous. Staff kind and friendly. Room with adjoining balcony was an added bonus.

The location in town centre within walking distance of restaurants / bars and the train station. Breakfast was varied and delicious. Bedroom was clean and comfortable. Tang greeted us on arrival and assisted us with luggage. Check in and check out was easy and quick. The building is beautiful and historic. Tang was on hand for all our needs. We cannot recommend this hotel enough.

The hotel was very modern and clean. Breakfast was lovely, and so were the staff. No bar, but there is a fridge with wines, beers, and snacks - you just write down what you have used if Reception is closed. There's an Argentinian Steak Restaurant, that has recently opened, next door - and a lively bar in the village, where all the locals meet. Great little base for touring the area!

The food was phenomenal - both breakfast and dinner exceeded expectations, and I even took a sandwich for the road. The staff was kind and attentive, particularly since my German isn’t terrific. The room itself was comfortable and clean, with the things I needed at hand.

It was an extraordinary experience. The hotel is an authentic castle, with modern amenities. Very spacious room, great mattress and linens, amazing breakfast. Amazing views of the river, beautiful garden. Honestly, I will definitely come back. Totally worth the ride up there if you come from Stuttgart, Cologne or Frankfurt.

Small clean room, staff is friendly, little far from supermarket if by walking but still possible. A nice stay of our few days hiking.

We enjoyed staying with the Stassen family. Due to their day off we could not enjoy dinner there but we knew that beforehand. The rooms are large and modern in a country setting. There is also ample bicycle storage in a large garage. Breakfast is great.

A splendid authentic castle atop a hill by the river Rhine, this hotel offers majestic vistas and cozy stylish rooms. It really has the atmosphere of a castle rather than that of yet another hotel you visit. It's a long way from the parking to the reception (and then to your room through a little maze of corridors and stairs, which is typical for a castle), but they have a luggage service with a golf cart, which is rather useful.
