Very nice place, clean room, simple but functional equipment. Helpful staff, dog-friendly accommodation, excellent breakfast.

everything perfect and clean for a short night

Warm welcome, view on the river, cosy place, good food.

Great location close to train station, comfortable and clean rooms, flexible check-in. Can recommend.

The staff went out of their way to provide information, assist us with our needs, and in general, accommodate our requests. I would recommend the hotel to anyone traveling to Giessen.

The hotel is located in the city center. You can walk to the railway station in 7-10 minutes. The room has a small refrigerator, a large bed, a hairdryer, a bathroom, a mirror, small shampoos and soaps, toilet paper, towels, a fan, and a TV.

Perfect position, close to downtown & cheap parking just around the corner

Lovely room, spotlessly clean and warm. A great breakfast every morning and we ate lunch & dinner here. The food was amazing so we highly recommend this property.

The facilities like swimming pool, sauna and breakfast were all great. Also the concept of temppad shows both advancement in tech and also maybe more eco friendly due to being paperless

Breakfast was fine, restaurant closed but the Italian next door was brilliant.

Lovely place to stay, restaurant food was very tasty, breakfast was amazing had everything you needed and such a wide choice of food

Big windows, perfect shades, hot water and spacious room.

What is there not to like ? This was a fantastic location! A great historical hotel with restaurant and beer garten! Nice to see a sauna just like home! Everything is clean and renovated! We LOVE to come back!

The Yellow Castel in Giessen = Parkhotel Friedrichstrasse I will call it as The Yellow Castel in Giessen ! I had a nice and calm stay during my first visit in Giessen. Its just stone walk from HBF and at town center with restaurants nearby ! The manager Mrs Theressa and her staff at the front desk was incredibly warmly welcoming, very helpful and attentive team who provide courteous services. The new renovated hotel and its room were spacious, clean, exceptionally comfortable, and the room was spotless. The breakfast buffet had a great selection of fresh fruit and pastries. I will definitely be back!

The Hotel is a 5 min walk from the train station. Very central and 5 min walk to the main shopping street. The rooms were stylish and comfortable. Well recommended accommodation

The room that I've got was so spacious! It had a small corridor, a walk-in closet, a huge sleeping room and a toilet. I also enjoyed the fridge and minibar with a small and nice selection of drinks and snacks. The table was spacious enough and had its own lamp, which was very useful for working. For me the location was perfect, it's just 5 minutes walk from the university, but the city center is also quite close (maybe 7-10 minutes walk). The breakfast was really tasty, simple yet various. The hotel has an elevator, connecting the first three floors (rooms on the 4th floor are reachable by the stairs). The wifi was excellent. There was still no heating in mid October, but it was warm enough, I really didn't have issues. The hotel offers slippers. The bed was big and supercomfortable. Overall, I enjoyed my stay very much!
