We didn't stay in Wetzlar for long, so my review might be a bit one-sided. The room was adequate. Nothing wrong, but nothing exceptional. Surprisingly, the breakfast was outstanding. The location was close to downtown. We prefer quaint, historic distric.

The old town, complete with its DOM and KornMarkt are excellent and well worth a visit during a 'stopover'.
Down by the river, and on the other bank, there the newer face of Wetzlar with it's malls, shopping centres and main traffic thoroughfare, so good vehicular access.

If you are a photography afficionado Wetzlar is a good place...
If you are a photography afficionado Wetzlar is a good place to visit. And please note: you don't need to be a Leica fanboy/girl to enjoy what Leica has to offer in terms of exhibitions and information at their Leica World.
Apart from this aspect of a visit to Wetzlar there isn't really that much to keep you occupied. There is a quaint historic city centre, lovely shops and boutiques, good restaurants and pubs. But that's about it ...

I know Wetzlar my whole life as I grew up just a couple of miles from there. Wetzlar has changed since I was a kid but it still has its charm. Best place is the "Altstadt" and the area around the Lahnufer.

Wetzlar is a gorgeous old town with loads of history.
Wetzlar is a gorgeous old town with loads of history. There is a beautiful park along both sides of the river and activities such as canoeing available. Plenty of restaurants and beer gardens by the old bridge. I was only there one evening but wished I had longer!

Beautiful city a combination of the medieval with deep Technology. In a matter of minutes you can walk from a a quaint mediaeval Village complete with half-timbered architecture to world leading facilities from Leica.

very friendly reception and helpful ) big parking new modern hotel nice interior with a lot great fotos inside and all done with style but maybe some people will find it too cold
how ever all look fresh and it nice
near ( 20 metres) museum of Leica what was interesting also shop of Leica if you need new camera or watch

Super Location. Easy entry access to the room, either on reception or via the machine. Lady on reception very kind and helpful. Great breakfast. Tasty bread rolls. Excellent value for money. My favourite staying in Wetzlar. Easy access to downtown
