The castle is marvelous and the owners and staff are very friendly and helpful. The rooms are very comfortable and stylish. I highly recommend dinner in the restaurant, the food is incredible. There were even red squirrels to be seen climbing around the trees and castle walls.

I The apartment at Gasthaus-Pension Hofmann was cozy and clean. Comfortable bed, well-equipped kitchen. Perfect place if you are traveling with children. The guest house is located in a quiet Bavarian village, where guests could relax in a huge, well-kept garden with a pint of local beer. Definitely recommend after visiting crowded Rothenburg. We are sure we will come back again on our next Bavarian trip

This hotel is an old castle and truly an experience of a lifetime if you want to feel in a fairy tale. The deers running on the surrounding grounds, the landscape, and the surrounding nature can evoke a surreal experience, as much as the haunting details of mounted animals, taxidermy, old dolls in cribs. Highly recommend.

Colmberg is okay.

Colmberg is okay. I highly recommend dinner at the Gutshof restaurant. It was delicious. Otherwise, my destination was Rothenburg ob der Tauber, always worth a visit, as well as Ansbach, also a pretty little town.

A wonderful hotel located right in the historic rooms of the castle, clearly renovated with great care and expense. We felt very comfortable, but would have liked a slightly wider selection at breakfast. The restaurant has several mentions in the Michelin Guide, but we still decided to eat in a small, new restaurant in the town center in the evening.

It's a peaceful place with a beautiful castle and excellent restaurants. It's a great base for day trips, for example to Ansbach, and also perfect for hiking and relaxation.

1. Good location. On the top of a mountain in Colmberg. Can see the sunset, sunrise and morning fog, especially the morning fog is very beautiful. 2. Long history and interesting exploring experience. Also have animals near the berg. 3. Good service. We need to leave to airport in the morning, give us earlier breakfast than their open time. 4. Good facilities. Have enough hot washing water. 5. Good food.

historic hotel in a beautiful location. friendly owners. The building itself is a stunning piece of Bavarian heritage, with its centuries-old architecture beautifully preserved, offering a glimpse into the past while providing all the modern comforts you could ask for. Owner was incredibly warm and welcoming, eager to share the fascinating history of the property and the local area.
