The staff is very nice and most speak English. They have a great restaurant and the breakfast, dinner and desserts were all excellent. Our room was newly renovated and it and the bathroom were very nice and roomy. The downstairs restaurant and the exterior of the building is beautiful with old-world charm. They seem kid friendly. There is a playground next to the outdoor cafe. It is right next to a nature park and the woods, even though it is very close to Darmstadt and only a half-hour from the Frankfurt airport.

The Hotel Hornung is located in a peacful side street just 150 metres from Darmstadt's main train station. This business hotel has comfortable rooms and convenient transport links. I liked the fact that the hotel was near the train station and that it was on the way into the town centre. I especially liked the fact that a very substantial breakfast was included in the price. This breakfast was perfectly adequate and was worth at least €10, which I didn't have to pay as it was included in the price. Everything was within walking distance. The train, the shops, the trams, tourist attractions etc.

I arrived this hotel at 7 am after travelling from Fiji for 32 hour journey duration. the check in time was 12am but the owner prepared my room and i could check in at 7.30. I was offered a free cup of nice coffee. I felt relaxed. Germany was new for me and long travelling made me stressed. I was happy. The staff ladies working there was very frendly too. showed me the way. it was cooling staying there and the rate was not very expensive compaired to germany euros.

I stayed for one night. The room was nice, comfortable and clean. The location is also quite nice, near to both the train station and the city. The staff were helpful and arranged a room in the first floor for me since I was travelling with luggage. I can easily recommend for longer stay as well.
